The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa welcomes groups to one of the largest and most comprehensive meeting sites in all of Arizona. Hailed as the “Jewel of the Desert” at its opening in 1929, the acclaimed architectural landmark offers unparalleled luxury in a picturesque setting. The expansions and enhancements of recent years have faithfully preserved the historic design recognized worldwide for the influence of America’s heralded architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.

Thirty-nine acres hold an array of outdoor event sites, including terraces, lawns, and pool decks.Inside, more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space includes a state-of-the-art conference facility with business center, ballroom, and 17 breakout rooms. Two historically significant sites, the Aztec Room and the Gold Room, take guests’ breath away with their stunning architectural design and appointments. The same settings enchanted everyone from the Rat Pack to Clark Gable, George Clooney to Arnold Schwarzenegger, and every president since Herbert Hoover.

Outside, the eight swimming pools include the Catalina Pool—a favorite of Marilyn Monroe and the place where Irving Berlin wrote “White Christmas.” When not basking in the sun, guests at leisure play golf on 36 championship holes or visit the 22,000-square-foot spa, where therapies from around the globe provide the ultimate in post-meeting pampering.

Wright’s at the Biltmore, part of a dynamic restaurant and lounge duo at the resort, creates an ideal environment for dining, socializing, and relaxing after a long day of meetings. The expansive patio, complete with fire pits and oversized chairs, affords spectacular views of the gardens and majestic Squaw Peak Mountains.

For years the National Football League has looked forward to returning to the Arizona Biltmore for our annual meetings. We are delighted to have them host many of our elite business partners for Super Bowl XLII.

Loved the historical elements/architecture of this property- you can practically see Marilyn Monroe doing laps in the pool and Frank Lloyd Wright pondering his work in the courtyard. The renovated restaurant and bar look great, although I didn't eat or drink at either. The staff is outstanding- from the valet to housekeeping and the front desk reception. I highly recommend spending an evening at the outdoor firepits having a cocktail or two. It's relaxing and beautiful out there, and the desert air makes it very comfortable.

The Arizona Biltmore was the perfect place for our development conference. It is a short transfer from the Phoenix Airport. With it's large meeting space, we were able to do several breakouts while keeping everyone in the same room. It was also nice to have wireless internet throughout the property. In addition to more than ample meeting space, the spa at the Biltmore is extraordinary. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience!

soy candles.
“More than ever before, a visit to the spa at the Arizona Biltmore is a green experience, “ said Spa
Director Carol Ford. “Guests who are conscious and concerned about both the environment and what

She added that “A Green Committee has been set up by the spa to continuously review all of our
practices and products as well as research ways to make the experience at the Arizona Biltmore even
greener and more natural.”
Discovering the powers of natural ingredients and creating treatments that unlock their
benefits " to address guests’ physical, mental and spiritual health " is the special niche of the

Phoenix resort is one of four renowned properties to be part of new luxury hotel brand

PHOENIX, Arizona, February 1, 2006 " The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa today announced that it is entering a
new phase in its storied career as one of the original members of a new brand of luxury hotels launched by Hilton
Hotels Corporation. The Arizona Biltmore is one of four premier properties nationwide to form The
Waldorf=Astoria Collection™, named for the famed New York City hotel.
“This is one of the most exciting and momentous developments in the history of the Arizona Biltmore,”
said Sean Maddock, General Manager and Vice President of the Arizona Biltmore. “Bringing the power and
international recognition of the acclaimed Hilton name will benefit not only the resort, but also our employees and
our community.
“As the Valley of the Sun continues to grow in hotels and number of rooms, the Biltmore becoming part
of The Waldorf=Astoria Collection will further electrify our market and focus another positive spotlight on our
destination,” explained Maddock.
To bring the Biltmore into the new collection, Hilton acquired the resort’s management contract " as well
as the contracts of the other two resorts in the collection, Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa on Maui, and La
Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West in La Quinta, California " from KSL Resorts, based in La Quinta. The
change takes effect on February 1, 2006. All three properties are owned by Orlando-based CNL Hotels & Resorts.
“In the Arizona Biltmore, Hilton Hotels has obtained a legendary property with a history and worldwide
recognition that in many ways parallels that of the new collection namesake,” noted Maddock. “We are a new brand in
conjunction with quintessential North American hospitality icons, Hilton and The Waldorf=Astoria, names which evoke
quality and substance.”
The name of the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa will not change; instead a Waldorf=Astoria Collection
designation will be added as a mark of exclusivity.
The legendary Arizona Biltmore, known as the “Jewel of the Desert” and renowned for its Frank Lloyd Wrightinspired
design, is nestled on 39 acres at the foot of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Facilities include 738 guest
accommodations; eight swimming pools; seven tennis courts; six restaurants and lounges including award-winning
