Famed for its literary pedigree, The Algonquin Hotel recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation that adds new technology, style, and comfort to its renown as a midtown Manhattan business landmark. Bright new decor makes these 174 guest rooms and suites spring to life with such new amenities as high-end linens, duvets, spacious work desks, wall-mounted flat-panel TVs, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet.
Meeting planners convene their groups in a choice of six venues, including the legendary Oak Room, New York's premier jazz club, and the charming Helen Hayes Room for smaller groups. The largest venue, the Gallery Suite, accommodates 150 for receptions, 110 for banquets. Guests enjoy lunch in the renovated Round Table Room and the drawings of Algonquin regular Al Hirshfeld in the Blue Bar.
