Opened in December 2004 as North America’s newest recreational community, Tamarack Resort lies 90 miles north of Boise, Idaho. The four-season resort showcases the scenic Payette River Mountains, Lake Cascade, and a packed agenda of year-round outdoor activities for meeting and incentive guests.

Amenity-filled accommodations include vacation rental homes and rooms, studios, and condominiums at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows. A conference facility, Arling Center, hosts corporate events for up to 300 delegates.

In winter, seven ski lifts take center stage for between-meeting fun, accompanied by group ski lessons and guided snowmobile tours. Spring and summer bring golf, sailing, and amazing zipline adventures to get the adrenaline flowing. Afterward, participants can mellow out at Santé Spa, enjoy gourmet fare at Morels, and hoist a brew over tall tales at Seven Devils Pub.

Osprey Meadows Named to 'Top 100 Courses'

TAMARACK, Idaho -- In the midst of just its third season, Osprey Meadows Golf Course - the challenging Robert Trent Jones, Jr. layout at Tamarack Resort in Idaho's Payette River Mountains - is being honored once again among America's top courses.

Osprey Meadows makes its debut on the biennial GOLF Magazine "Top 100 Courses You Can Play" list for 2008-2009 - coming in at No. 79. Osprey Meadows was also recognized by GOLF Magazine in their first-ever ranking of "The best courses you can play in every state" coming in at No. 2 for Idaho.

In addition to fellow Idaho Golf Trail Courses Circling Raven (No. 93) and Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course (No. 69), Osprey is in the company of many esteemed national courses.

The Top 100 list is derived from ratings submitted by a team of GOLF Magazine best-of panelists who scour the country to evaluate the best public-access courses, of which there are roughly 14,000. The biennial list is included in the September 2008 edition of the magazine, which is available on newsstands now.

"It is very rewarding to see the leading voices of golf continue to acknowledge and reward the great service, astounding beauty and spectacular design of this Robert Trent Jones, Jr. layout," says Tom Altmann, Director of Golf. "Playing Osprey Meadows is not just a round of golf, but a memorable golf experience for all levels of golfers."

Elite Meetings International names Tamarack Resort as one of
North America's top properties for group functions

Tamarack, Idaho-Tamarack Resort was recently endorsed by Elite Meetings International (EMI), an innovative company that assists top planners in finding the best properties for meetings and incentives throughout North America.

As a whole, the resort's amenities and recreational opportunities were judged on: arrival experience, accommodations, meeting and event facilities, activity options, overall dining experience, and most importantly, service. EMI's Elite Meetings Advisory Board-a body that consists of corporate meeting planners and hospitality executives-granted Tamarack with the Elite Certification after the resort's staff demonstrated its commitment to providing an exceptional group experience.

"Our goal in establishing Elite Certification was to compile a peer-rated resource that recognized those properties that represent the best of the best, independent of affiliation," says EMI CEO Kelly Foy. "We're proud to offer Elite Certification status to Tamarack Resort. Our endorsement reflects our belief in the exceptional standards that visiting groups can expect."

"We are honored to be one of the elite locations for the EMI organization," says Ken Rider, Tamarack's Director of Resort Sales and Marketing. "The resort being approved by both industry veterans as well as those who have held meetings here is a great reassurance of our dedication to be an acclaimed vacation and conference destination."
