Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Housed in the crown jewel of Boston hotel buildings, the Taj Boston overlooks the lawns, formal flower beds, and Swan Boats of Boston's Public Garden. Guests' windows open to the park, to views of Beacon Hill, the Charles River, Commonwealth Mall, and the fashionable shops of Newbury Street.
Groups meet where dignitaries from around the world have met in Boston since 1927, accompanied by white-glove service and exquisite Old World surroundings. The grand ballroom, for instance, hosts banquets and receptions in a setting of shimmering crystal, two-story windows, and wraparound balconies. Fifteen other private dining and meeting salons include a smaller ballroom, wine cellar, boardroom, and six executive conference rooms filled with natural light, exquisite antiques, and original art. High overhead, the seventeenth-floor roof deck adds a legendary venue for events wrapped in 360-degree views of Back Bay Boston.
Naturally, a professional conference staff takes care of all the details for every event. But business guests, whether on their own or in groups, also appreciate the 24-hour business center, technology butler, and complimentary transportation to the Financial District. When not working, guests can recharge their batteries at the fitness center, with classic afternoon tea in the lounge, and with clublike dining at The Bar or Café. Or they can ring for bath and fireplace butlers to set the scene for a historic evening at home.
Planner Reviews
From our planner community
The reception on Thursday was fantastic, and our guests stay with you was superb all around. The guests said that the rooms were beautiful and comfortable (which made me wish I had arranged to stay there, too!) Thank you so much for all you did to arrange things for our group.

We had a wonderful experience with the Taj Boston. It was a fantastic location, beautiful facility, and friendly staff. I would like to especially commend James the concierge for being so wonderful and helpful. If ever there was a problem he was on top of it and willing to resolve our problems. Thank you for your assistance. We will definitely return to Taj!

The Taj Hotel in Boston is my choice for meetings--whether they are a one-day event for 20 people or a week-long course for 150. With an easily accessible location, naturally-lighted meeting rooms, fabulous food and exceptional service, and a tradition of hospitality and service, the Taj offers quality, consistency and value.
The heart of the Taj experience is its fabulous staff. From the moment that you are greeted at the door, until you are seated at an event, the Taj Staff represents the best in courtesy, professionalism, kindness and good humor. No problem is too great or no detail to small for the Taj's staff to deal with. Having done many events at the Taj, I'm constantly reminded that most of the questions that I've thought of in regards to an event have already been thought of by the invaluable Taj Staff.
Why do I hold events at the Taj Boston Hotel? Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Rooftop Brunch. The view from the bar when sipping a delicious glass of wine. The exceptional luncheon buffets. The wonderful staff. The in-room fireplaces, fuzzy robes, huge tubs and decadent bed, complete with seven pillows. The Moulton Brown products. The smiling, kind, amazing staff. The attention to detail. The meeting room set-ups. The meeting room space. Natural light in the meeting rooms. And, once again, and best of all--the Amazing Taj Staff keeps me coming back again and again.

TAJ BOSTON SUPPER CLUB ON THE ROOF
Posted July 30, 2008
Dining and Dancing in a Legendary Setting
BOSTON, MA (June 4, 2008) " The legendary 1927 building at Arlington and Newbury Streets is permanently en fte, but when the Taj Boston Supper Club on The Roof takes place in this historic setting it is especially magical.
This summer season the public is invited to dine and dance at the Taj Boston Supper Club on The Roof. Throughout the year The Roof is the exclusive setting for special private events but on a few evenings the dramatic view of Bostons skyline will be shared with the public.
The Roof on the 17th floor of the landmark 1927 building was the center of Bostons summer social scene in the Big Band Era of the 1930s and 1940s. The Roof opened in 1933, and the music of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey and Eddie Duchin filled the air. The summer social whirl and live radio broadcasts continued until 1946.
As the cityscape of Boston changes from sunset to the evenings twinkling skyline, guests socialize and are swept onto the dance floor. The music of The Tom LaMark five-piece orchestra sets the mood in the comfort of the climate-controlled setting. Taj Bostons Executive Chef Franck Steigerwald creates cool summer dishes reflecting classic favorites and appealing surprises.
Dates are Fridays, July 11 and 25; August 15 and 29; September 12 and 26 and October 3. The Taj Boston Supper Club on The Roof begins at 7:00 p.m. and dancing is from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Admission is $55 per person. A Dinner Buffet is available for an additional $45 per person. Cocktails and wine will be available. For reservations, please call Restaurant Reservations at (617) 598-5255. Attire is evening elegance, jackets are required for the gentlemen.
The Taj Boston chefs will be present at a tempting buffet of culinary displays, including an array of specialty salads, raw seafood bar, pasta selections including shrimp risotto with parmesan, white truffle and asparagus, a carving station with prime rib of beef and the grand finale of artistic pastries and miniature tarts.
The Taj Boston Supper Club on The Roof Package encourages you to continue the festivities into the weekend. This includes a Deluxe Room for two with entrance to the supper club and dinner for two excluding alcoholic beverage, tax and gratuities. Rates start at $499 and are subject to availability on the Thursday before and the night of the event. Please call (877) 482-5267, contact your travel professional, or visit www.tajhotels.com to make the package reservation.
