Rustic luxury best describes the ambience of Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort. Tucked away in a pristine canyon at the base of 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos, the tallest in Utah’s Wasatch range, the 6,000-acre destination is as much a favorite retreat of ski buffs and outdoor lovers as business travelers seeking an inspirational meeting venue with first-class amenities and service. Readers of Condé Nast Traveler agree. In 2007, the Readers’ Choice Survey rated Sundance as the number two resort on the U.S. mainland.

Sundance Resort encompasses 95 deluxe guest cottages and 10 mountain homes, two gourmet restaurants, an art center, a full-service spa, and a conference center that attracts corporate groups from around the world. Executive retreats, seminars and small business meetings can be arranged in a broad range of venues, from the 4,200-square-foot Rehearsal Hall to a secluded, 900-square-foot cedar cabin designed to reflect its natural surroundings. High-speed Internet and top audiovisual equipment are available in all conference rooms and guest lodges.

Sundance’s Conference Services Department happily assists with planning and executing anything from theme events to team-building programs in a mountain meadow. A four-season resort, Sundance provides a wide range of activities, many ideal for corporate groups. Summer allows for hiking, mountain-biking and river floats, while winter brings skiing and snowboarding. Anytime of year, the resort offers fly-fishing on the Blue Ribbon trout river, Nature Center programs, classes at the Art Shack, and, of course, pampering treatments at The Spa at Sundance.

Just an opportunity to meet Chris and book your meeting with him is worth the time for a contract.

We felt that the setting had a great deal to do with the success of our program. The executives who took part in the training have high-pressure, fast-paced lives. Putting them in the serenity of Sundance gave them a chance to focus, recharge, and get the most out of the training.

(Sundance, UT ) January 2008---- Sundance Resort ranked 4th in the Ski Area Citizens Coalition 2007/2008 Environmental Scorecard Top 10. The Ski Area Environmental Scorecard grades western resorts on their environmental practices. The Scorecard is a service to skiers and boarders who would like to choose resorts that are stewards of the environment. The Environmental Scorecard is the only non-industry, independent mechanism that gives skiers and boarders a way to assess the environmental performance of their favorite resorts..

We are proud to have received this award. Sundances commitment to the environment is ever ongoing and we appreciate the Ski Area Environmental Scorecard recognition of our efforts, commented Chad Linebaugh, Sundance Co General Manager.

As part of its environmental initiatives, The Sundance Resort has partnered with Rocky Mountain Power to increase its Blue Sky commitment to 192,700 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy per month; enough to cover 100 percent of the resort's average monthly electricity use. The Sundance Resort has purchased Blue Sky renewable energy since April 2004. For more information on Sundances environmental programs, visit www.sundanceresort.com
