A star was born when SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills opened in fall 2008 as an entirely new paradigm for a luxury hotel. and top celebrity hair stylist Sally Hershberger announced today their partnership to open
Hershberger’s first ever “Style Studio” exclusively for blow drying and styling within Ciel Spa at
the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills, A Luxury Collection property, this month. Hershberger joining the
SLS Hotel marks yet another innovative collaboration for sbe’s Sam Nazarian who has joined
creative forces with industry leaders to create a new paradigm in luxury hospitality.
Hershberger’s staff known for their talent and insight into beauty bring their much in demand
skills to the guests at the SLS Hotel 7 days a week from 9am - 9pm with a service menu that
includes chic blow-outs and styling. Offering a full Sally Hershberger experience, every detail
down to the music playlist and healthy savories served in the Style Studio will bear the celebrity
stylist’s imprint. The hair services at Sally Hershberger Style Studio at Ciel Spa include a wash
and blow-dry for $85 and fully-styled up do starting at $150.

The Sally Hershberger Style Studio marks the first phase of Hershberger’s expansion in the Los
Angeles market, which will be followed by a doubling in size of her famed West Hollywood
location. Hershberger’s Style Studio at the Philippe Starck-designed Ciel Spa at SLS Hotel is
scheduled to open February 1, 2011. Both of these West Coast locations are in addition to
Hershberger’s two New York City salons.

The 5,000- square-foot, full-service spa and salon is a pampering retreat for Angelenos and hotel guests alike, providing the perfect complement to the SLS experience, which offers a new paradigm in luxury hospitality. Evocative of a celestial dreamscape, guests will feel relaxed and at ease among the warm white tones and billowing curtains, while delightful discoveries surprise throughout the space. The co-ed lounge will serve as an ideal place to relax and socialize both pre- and post-spa experience. Refreshing and healthy savories will be offered in the lounge, created by acclaimed chef José Andrés exclusively for Ciel. Ranging from spa tapas like Josè Andrès gazpacho and watermelon-tomato seed skewers to decadent cava mimosas and chocolate-strawberry pipettes, spa fare at Ciel will be far from commonplace.

The spa rooms at Ciel will be unique environments equipped with music, lighting and technology options that allow spa therapists to set the mood for each treatment and guest preference. Each spa room will be an intimate haven equipped with luxuries like an experience shower and armchairs for foot bath rituals, as well as iPod docking stations, allowing guests to personalize the soundtrack of their massage experience, and custom spa beds with Acoustic Sound Resonance Therapy, allowing a symphony of scents and sounds to resonate throughout the entire body.
