The Silverado is an expansive property - some rooms require you to drive and/or call the desk for a ride. Luckily, at our event, I was assigned a small cottage room very close to the main building - a 5 minute walk. This was helpful since I had to transport meeting materials on a daily basis.
The rooms run the gamut in both style and function, although the Silverado has recently undergone an upgrade. My sliding glass patio door was how I entered the room, and I did not have a flat screen TV. That being said, I recently stayed here with my husband and our room was lovely with many updated amenities.
The location is great - with such an expansive property, you feel like you are removed from the city hustle and bustle, yet you are centrally located and a short drive from many sites and activities.
From a meeting planner standpoint, the staff was very helpful and availed themselves to us at all times. Planning with them was easy - they were very proactive in confirming and reconfirming counts, orders, and setup needs. They were able to make last minute accommodations when necessary.
The meeting rooms at the Silverado are very nice; they're not your average plain, white-walled hotel-style room. They are comfortable and inviting - you feel like you are in someone's library. One meeting we had made use of their restaurant during the day, and the view of the golf course was beautiful.
Silverado's food is fantastic and 5-star. They have a top-notch chef and their front of the house staff is personable and very helpful.
I enjoyed my stay there so much my husband and I often stay there when we crave a Napa getaway.
