We held a high-end incentive program at this property for a well-known software company. This property is as close to perfect as it comes. Hip without feeling distant, high-end to suit any age group in an ideal location. While there's little reason to leave the property due to its amazing amenities and top-notch spa, the area offers plenty of activities and side trips that represent the old typical colonial Mexico and the other extreme...South Beach in Mexico. Overall one of the top hotels in Cabo.

Marquis Los Cabos Resort Uncorks Exclusive Mexican Wine Selection & Tequila Tasting Educational Experiences
Posted September 12, 2011
Baja Sur California (September 12, 2011) – Marquis Los Cabos Resort, a well-known culinary destination with its $1,000 Tequila Popsicle and Michelin pedigreed Executive Chef, now offers a selection of wines exclusive to the resort and its restaurants. Guests of Marquis Los Cabos can also participate in two educational tasting experiences, focusing on the art of winemaking and tequila distillery.

The Mexican Wine Experience delves into the rich history of Mexican winemaking. Guests will enjoy a tasting of four boutique wines, paired with tapas from Executive Chef Thierry Dufour’s award-winning menu, while learning about Mexico’s wine culture and the area’s grape varieties. Two of the wines are exclusive to the resort, the Marquis Sauvignon Blanc, and the Marquis Tinto Cabernet.

Harvested at the height of ripeness, the Marquis Sauvignon Blanc presents a harmonious balance of organic properties. Fruity tones of tropical origin like guava, passion fruit, citrus and other emblematic aromas infuse this grape variety.

The Marquis Tinto Cabernet is a blend of 90% cabernet sauvignon and 10% cabernet franc from 2007 and 2009 vintages. This wine offers beautiful aromas of ripe plum, cassis and nuances of tobacco and spices. It truly represents the spirit of Baja with its full body, roundness and complexity.

The Tequila Tasting Experience at Marquis Los Cabos explores the history and myths surrounding Mexico’s emblematic drink. While the resort’s experto tequilero describes the finer points of the distillation process, the different classifications of tequila, and the appropriate ways to drink it, guests enjoy samples of Mexico’s most representative tequilas paired with the resort’s signature ceviches. Marquis Los Cabos boasts over 85 brands of tequila on its menu, along with
its famed $1,000 Tequilas Premium Clase Azul tequila popsicle with gold flakes, considered the world’s most expensive tequila pop!

Marquis Los Cabos has also been awarded a number of prestigious culinary accolades, including the Distinctive T in Baja California from Mexico’s Tequila Regulatory Council and the Distinctive H award for high standards in food management.
