I love this property. Situated on a hill with magical views of Rome. One of the best amenities of this hotel is its swimming pool which is a rarity in a Roman Hotel. The expansive lawn and gardens are a refreshing change from the hub bub of touring all that the Eternal City has too often in options. The sleeping rooms are very generous in size and beautifully appointed. The alfresco dining is lovely and the hotel boasts one of the top restaurants in Rome. I can't recommend this highly enough. What it lacks in being in the center of Rome is more than made up by the tranquility and warmth of its staff.

Salone dei Cavalieri Grand Ballroom 'Where Art Meets Technology '

Already one of the leading venues for corporate and private grand events in Italy, Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is set to reach even higher standards of luxury event management. On the 28th August 2009 the hotel re-launched Salone dei Cavalieri, a new-look, ultra-lavish ballroom which, following an 8 million Euro refurbishment, subtly blends advanced modern technology with breathtaking pieces of art.

Featuring the most opulent and technologically advanced meeting facilities in the region, the 17,254 sq. ft. (1,600 sq. mt) Salone dei Cavalieri can host an impressive 2,100 delegates. Not content with simplistic design, Rome Cavalieri, which houses the largest art collection found in any hotel in the world, has adorned the walls of the ballroom with ornate tapestries dating back to the 17th Century. The handpicked Leyniers tapestries (one of the most famous and admired Belgian weavers of all time) create a feeling of style, warmth and sumptuousness rarely found in conference facilities.

The ballroom cleverly uses light to highlight these striking pieces of art. Using the most up-to-date technology available, it is possible to change the colour and strength of the lights transforming the ambience of the Salone dei Cavalieri depending on the time of day and needs of the guest. Reflective and light absorbing materials have been skilfully placed around the room to further enhance the use of light.

The Salone dei Cavalieri is a fully flexible event space. Easy to move partitions can be used to adapt the room to suit different function sizes and powerful sound dampening tiles have been applied to the walls and ceiling to ensure total privacy. A state-of-the-art soft edge blending screen covers most of the perimeter of the ballroom and 100 aerial hanging points have been strategically placed to further strengthen the rooms’ flexibility ensuring excellent audio options and a choice of projector points. The foyer leading onto Salone dei Cavalieri has also undergone a soft refurbishment ensuring total style and comfort through-out.
