Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa - A Wyndham Grand Resort

Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa—A Wyndham Grand Resort nestles between lush tropical mountains and a pristine Caribbean beach in Puerto Rico. The resort's 500 acres embrace a mile-long stretch of sand outside Río Grande, 30 minutes north of the San Juan capital. In 2006, the hotel celebrated its tenth anniversary with a multimillion-dollar renovation, followed by further improvements in 2008 under new ownership by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

The lobby greets arrivals with a breathtaking view of the ocean and a rain-forest fresco on the ceiling. A variety of dining venues ranging from casual to elegant satisfy every mood and appetite. Leisure time centers mainly on a beachfront terrace set with two pools, teak lounge chairs, and private cabanas. When not relaxing at the pools, guest tee off on a choice of courses—the Ocean or River Golf Courses—or enjoy Peter Burwash International tennis, a Mandara Spa and fitness center, and a full roster of Caribbean water sports.

Those visiting for meetings find the 48,000-square-foot Oceanfront Conference Center tucked off by itself amidst 12,000 square feet of flexible outdoor space. A terrace and glass rotunda adjoin the largest space—nearly 21,000 square feet hosting up to 2,390 people. Like the 24 meeting rooms, the newly renovated accommodations reflect the best of international, Mediterranean, and Caribbean influences. All 600 feature elegant appointments, tropical decor, rich woods, and furnished balconies or terraces.
Planner Reviews
We have been running our workshop for 26 years and from an operation's perspective, this year's meeting was possibly the most successful.

Maybe it's because I was part of the opening team for the property, but I LOVE RIO MAR!!! Excellent property to bring a large conference. I've worked from both sides at the property and would recommend to anyone traveling to Puerto Rico!
