Revel Professionals Raise a Glass in Novel Toast
REVEL BEACH, Atlantic City, N.J. (April 2, 2012) – Revel opened its doors to its first guests today at 7:00 a.m. EDT. Revel professionals and invited guests toasted this special day at sunrise on the resort’s SkyGarden, overlooking the boardwalk and beach, with a smoothie blended from New Jersey blueberries for the occasion.

Lt. Governor of New Jersey Kim Guadagno, state and local dignitaries, representatives of building trades, construction and design partners and media joined Revel Entertainment CEO Kevin DeSanctis in kicking off an eight-week preview of the resort which will lead up to a Memorial Day premiere featuring concerts headlined by Beyoncé.

Revel brings a very different resort option to the Northeast. The beachfront destination is smoke-free and will feature over 1,800 rooms with sweeping ocean views. Iron Chef Jose Garces, acclaimed chef and owner of twelve restaurants in Philadelphia, Chicago and Scottsdale, is set to open the doors to three highly anticipated restaurants at the beachfront destination. Drawing from his wildly popular and successful Philadelphia concepts, Chef Garces will open Amada, an authentic Andalusian tapas bar; Village Whiskey, serving spirits and artfully crafted cocktails alongside American dishes; and Distrito Cantina a festive margarita bar with a selection of 100 tequilas and modern Mexican street food from the Guapos take-out window.
