The resort’s 75,000 square feet of meeting space occupies the mezzanine level, serviced by a dedicated catering kitchen and a 10’x27’ freight elevator with a 25,000 lb. capacity. The 36,864-square-foot ballroom divides into eight, and 18 breakout rooms accommodate from 10 to 500 attendees with state-of-the-art telecommunications and electronic capabilities.
Each of the 2,500 oversized rooms and suites boasts Hollywood memorabilia, such as the leather jacket John Travolta wore in Pulp Fiction. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, standard amenities include Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, 42-inch plasma TVs, work desks, and sitting areas.
Free-time options range from treatments at the Spa by Mandara to lounging at the two pools and sunbathing deck. The ultramodern casino tempts with 100,000 square feet of nonstop gaming, while the Miracle Mile Shops dazzles with more than 170 specialty stores. On-site entertainment features the hit “Stomp Out Loud” in the 1,500-seat showroom. The renowned Strip House and KOI restaurants, plus six lounges—two of them operated by Miami’s famed Opium Group, put the finishing touches on Planet Hollywood’s complete Las Vegas experience.

We found the short distance from the conference center to hotel rooms to be a huge advantage over other properties.
The staff was very accommodating and requests were quickly and accurately met. There was zero stress around event setup. Everything was set up as planned and on time.
Overall, a great experience and we would certainly look to hold our conference at Planet Hollywood again.

Strip House - The edgy steak house overseen by John Schenk (an F&W Best Chef 1995) got its start in N ew York, but it could just as easily have begun on the Strip, with it's red velvet-lined lounge decorated with pictures of vintage pinup girls. The menu is dedicated to carnivorous gluttony, with massive, impeccably grilled steaks accompanied by a wide selection of decadent sides. We loved: Three-inch- thick rib eye; crisp goose-fat potatoes; 24-layer chocolate cake.

(Las Vegas, NV) Wednesday, October 31, 2007-- Robert Earl, co-chairman of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, announced an all-star line up for the property's Grand Opening Celebration to be held November 15th thru 17th. The weekend will feature headliners performing in the Mezz Theatre on Thursday and Friday and the Planet Hollywood Theatre on Saturday. There will also be intimate performances in the Grand Ballroom throughout the weekend."We are throwing the biggest party Las Vegas has ever seen and we are excited about our entertainment line-up," said Earl. "With the headliners and intimate performances throughout the weekend our guests will be treated to an entertainment experience they will never forget."
The festivities kick off on the evening of Thursday, November 15 when comedian Kat Williams debuts his new film, KATT WILLIAMS AMERICAN HUSTLE: THE MOVIE, in the Mezz Theatre. Williams will be on hand to introduce the screening to his fans.
On Friday night invited guests will be treated to a private performance by Jon Stewart in the Mezz Theatre and, after his show, the party continues in the ballroom with Bruce Willis and the Bruce Willis Blues Band, celebrity DJ DMC (Darryl McDaniels), and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy as well as other surprise guests.
Barbra Streisand will appear at a private party on Saturday night at the Planet Hollywood Theatre in front of celebrities, local dignitaries and other invited guests. Later in the evening, Earth Wind & Fire and Sugar Ray will keep the celebration in full swing as they play for party goers in the Grand Ballroom.
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will host a wide range of celebrities from all walks of the entertainment industry throughout the weekend who, in addition to attending the performances, will also enjoy the resort's amenities including new restaurants, nightclubs, a transformed and expanded gaming floor and remodeled rooms. On Saturday night, the front of the resort, which has already changed the look of the Las Vegas Strip with its high tech faade, will play host to a celebrity-filled red carpet celebration that is open to the public.
