On June 21, 2010, the Four Seasons Resort Aviara became the Park Hyatt Aviara. While the name changed from one premium brand to another, the atmosphere of casual luxury set off by Spanish colonial–style architecture, a European-style spa, Arnold Palmer golf, and the beauty of the California coastline remains the same. Guests find themselves near the surfside village of Carlsbad, just 30 miles north of downtown San Diego—but a world away. The resort crowns the highest ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Batiquitos Lagoon from the exclusive master-planned community of Aviara.
Groups of all sizes gather on lawns and courtyards designed specifically for outdoor functions as well as in well-appointed conference spaces. Held on two floors, the ballrooms, breakout rooms, and boardrooms share generous prefunction areas, terraces, and balconies facing the manicured grounds. Custom catering draws on the same talents found at the restaurants, which all feature fresh local ingredients for their Italian, French, steak house, or American influenced menus.
The inspirational setting, 329 sumptuous guest rooms and suites, advanced technical capabilities, and highly adaptable meeting facilities and staff make the Park Hyatt Aviara ideal for everything from incentives to new product introductions, conferences, and complex multimedia presentations. In all cases, Park Hyatt's reputation for the best in service, infrastructure, and catering guarantees the success of every group's agenda.
Park Hyatt Aviara's service is always first-class. The food and beverage plans are diverse and of the highest quality. In our business, attention to detail is paramount, and no detail is ever too small for the staff.

Thanks to all of the Park Hyatt Aviara staff for making our recent retreat at the Aviara a huge success. Our attorneys and their guests from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. were all extremely complimentary of the Aviara property as a whole, the rooms, spa treatments, golf experience, food and beverage, evening entertainment, and the attentive service they experienced from the Aviara staff.

The quality of the experience for our members and staff ran consistently throughout our entire stay. While just one example, the little added touches provided by the front desk staff to step out and help point guests in the right direction demonstrated quality training and commitment to excellence. The entire hotel staff was top-notch. From the restaurants, bar staff, valet, bellmen, A/V techs, and right down to the maids, I applaud the combined commitment to quality service and doing things right.

This is a hotel I would come back to again and again. It doubled its function space a few years ago, adding a whole new experience for repeat guests. The golf pros are the best I've worked with, both as a newbie golf tournament planner and as a more experienced one years later.

Posted 18 Nov, 2011 by Jed Arrogante
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is pleased to announce two prestigious accolades for outstanding guest experience. For the second consecutive year as a Park Hyatt, the resort was recognized as a AAA Five Diamond Resort for 2012, one of North America’s most respected symbols of excellence in the hospitality industry. In addition, two of the resort’s restaurants, Vivace and Argyle Steakhouse, were distinguished with Wine Spectator's 2011 Award of Excellence.

With more than $3 million in recent and planned enhancements to guest amenities including the spa and guest rooms, along with a passion for creating unique guest experiences, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort continues to distinguish itself as one of the finest luxury resorts in Southern California.

Four Seasons Continues to Welcome Guests to Four Seasons Resort Aviara.
Posted 07 Jul, 2009 by Concierge Elite
Four Seasons is pleased with events today in the Federal Court in San Diego. The Company sought an order to prevent Broadreach Capital Partners/Maritz, Wolff & Co. from executing its previously announced plan to improperly assume management of the Resort. Broadreach Capital Partners/Maritz, Wolff & Co. today agreed not to take this course of action.
In 2006, Broadreach Capital Partners/Maritz, Wolff & Co assumed a long-term management agreement with Four Seasons for a remaining 81-year term. The agreement provides for arbitration of all disputes between the parties. Very recently, a dispute arose with regard to the 2009 operating budget for the Resort and Broadreach Capital Partners/Maritz, Wolff & Co.'s obligation to provide working capital necessary to fund debt service. Arbitration has commenced, and Four Seasons will respect and honor its contractual obligations and the arbitration process.
Four Seasons has managed the Resort since 1997. In that time, the Resort has garnered numerous awards and accolades, including being named to Forbes Traveler's list of World's Top 400 Hotels; named as a AAA Five-Diamond Award for eight years running; listed as one of ZAGAT's Top 50 U.S. Resorts for 2008; and listed on Conde Nast Traveler's "Gold List" from 1999-2009.

The Argyle Steakhouse at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara Golf Clubhouse Debuts a New Look.
Posted 07 Jul, 2009 by Concierge Elite
The Argyle Steakhouse at Four Seasons Resort Aviara Golf Clubhouse has unveiled an exciting redesign, inspired in part by its unique locale beside the tidal wetlands of the Batiquitos Lagoon. The interior has been revitalised to reflect a "California coastal" impression, according to Beverly Hills interior design firm Cheryl Rowley Design.
The new space boasts a modern and elegant ambiance. Creamy white wainscoting is paired with deep walnut and mahogany wood finishes as backdrop to the fresh update. A neutral palette of fabrics in rich textures, with accents of celadon and teal tones, add brightness. Graphic patterns and contemporary finishes complete the look.
"The Argyle Steakhouse has already been a tremendous success with [Resort] guests and locals alike," says Robert Cima, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Aviara, North San Diego. "The final touch on this gem is this beautiful redesign. The non-traditional steakhouse menu, intuitive service and new décor all combine to offer an unparalleled dining experience in San Diego."
Already a local favourite for breakfast and lunch since 1991, The Argyle added the steakhouse concept in 2007 to become the Resort's third dinner outlet. "Now our guests can spend the day playing golf or attending the Aviara Golf Academy, followed by a spectacular dinner experience afterward," says Rick Ransburg, director of recreation. "I've been at Aviara since day one of the golf course. The new design completes our vision for the clubhouse and truly puts Aviara's offerings in the ranks of American golf institutions like Pebble Beach."
Chef de Cuisine Kurtis Habecker opened The Argyle Steakhouse after time spent with Joachim Splichal's Patina Group in Los Angeles. From Dungeness crab croquettes and butter-poached lobster with tomato marmalade appetisers to a unique flavoured-salt presentation, Habecker's creative influences abound. Entrée specialties include the 18-ounce bone-in Brandt natural rib eye and the 8-ounce Wagyu-Angus filet mignon. Executive Pastry Chef Franck Riffaud enjoys a playful approach to the dessert menu, including a retro offering of Julian apple fritters with a root beer float.
The Argyle Steakhouse ambience includes NuJazz music - a blend of traditional classics with contemporary beats. A private dining room seats up to 10. During the summer months, al fresco terrace seating overlooks Arnold Palmer's 18th hole and the wildlife sanctuary of the Batiquitos Lagoon. An adjoining lounge and library provide a warm and sophisticated ambience for light fare or cocktails at sunset. The Argyle Steakhouse is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with breakfast and lunch served Wednesday through Sunday.
