The Omni San Francisco Hotel entertains with a Florentine flourish at the foot of Nob Hill and the heart of San Francisco’s financial district. The cable car stops just outside the main portal, a short hop from Union Square, North Beach, Chinatown, and everything else in California’s beloved city by the bay.
Built in 1926, the former bank building’s Renaissance facade funnels guests into the lobby, where inlaid marble, filigreed ironwork, and sparkling chandeliers set an elegant tone that continues in the rooms, suites, and meeting spaces. Eight conference rooms and a 12-person boardroom occupy the second floor, while the ballroom rests on the third—all designed for flexibility and with built-in audiovisual equipment and ergonomic seating to ensure all-daycomfort. For private dining overlooking the entire city, the conference-planning manager can arrange group bookings at the famed Carnelian Room across the street—52 stories up.
The conference-planning manager can also assist in arrangements for shipping and receiving from the loading dock, music programming, and booking the audiovisual and engineering teams. Guests between meetings, work, or sightseeing can unwind in the fitness center, request a Get Fit Kit for an in-room workout, or head to the nearby Harden Park golf course. Those with serious fitness on the agenda can even book a Get Fit Room that includes a treadmill. For jobs well done, every delegate deserves an evening at Bob’s Steak and Chophouse, proud recipient of the DiRoNA Award and
Wine Spectator’s 2008 Award of Excellence.

IRVING, TX (February 6, 2009) " Effective today, Omni Hotels will offer its new ZERO Attrition program to meeting professionals and event clientele across the brand. This value-driven program waives the attrition fees for new contracts booked and consumed in 2009. The luxury hotel brand developed the ZERO Attrition program in response to the growing need in the meetings marketplace for innovative solutions which can effectively address todays economic conditions.
In todays economic climate, many organizations are uncertain of their meeting attendance, driving Omni to develop a program with more flexibility than the industry norm. This is intended to help customers overcome concerns regarding their group block commitment, said Tom Faust, vice president of sales for Omni Hotels. By offering this alternative and working closely with our clients on establishing an appropriate and achievable room block, we alleviate their concerns about attrition fees. We believe this is will be a practical and welcome solution to meeting planners.
New meetings, with up to 150 peak room nights, must be booked by June 30, 2009 and take place within the calendar year. In addition, there is a mutual block review at 90, 60 and 30 days prior to arrival. Other details, terms and conditions are available online or may call 1-800-THE-OMNI.
