The MGM Grand at Foxwoods opened in May 2008 as a truly grand extension of Foxwoods Resort Casino in Manshantucket, Connecticut. The $700-million tower added 825 guest rooms, bars and restaurants for every taste and mood, a casino, nightclub, performance theater, and 115,000 square feet of meeting space—including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom, the largest in the Northeast.
Guests can unwind with relaxing treatments at the G Spa, dips in the pool and hot tubs, and browsing through retailers like Bally's, Cartier, and Apple (ideal for blowing one's casino winnings in style). A covered pedestrian bridge links the MGM Grand to the Grand Pequot portion of Foxwoods, gateway to another 1,416 rooms and suites, 55,000 square feet of meeting space, 27 eateries, an entire theater district, six casinos, and golf on two championship courses.
