Marquis Reforma Ranked Among Top 15 Hotels in Mexico by Cond Nast Traveler Readers
Posted October 30, 2008
Mexico City, MX " October 2008 " Marquis Reforma, Mexico Citys only privately owned, five-star hotel, was named one of the Top 15 Mexico Hotels in Cond Nast Traveler magazines 2008 Readers Choice Awards, the annual readers survey appearing in the magazines November issue. Well recognized as a leading source for the discriminating raveler, Cond Nasts annual survey highlights the worlds finest properties as acknowledged by the magazines readers.
We are delighted to have been selected one of the best hotels in Mexico, said Rodolfo Roth, General Manager. What makes this recognition even more special is that it was our guests, who have experienced our hotel that voted for our property.
In addition to the exceptional customer service that each guest receives at the property, other distinctive amenities that helped the Marquis Reforma achieve this top award are the 16,000 square-foot spa, the largest and only Leading Spa of the World in Mexico City, and the Mexican-Spanish cuisine of Los Canarios restaurant, one of the Citys top power lunch dining spots, where canaries serenade guests.
I think what makes our hotel unique in Mexico City is that we are always looking for ways to provide our guests exceptional experiences, said Roth. Take for example our stunning Los Canarios restaurant that offers a casually elegant ambiance and features classical Mexican cuisine reminiscent from the 19th century and our Mexico City Sampler Package, where we provide first timers to Mexico City the opportunity to visit the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacn, the Basilica de Guadalupe, the Bazar Sbado, the Frida Kahlo Museum, and more.
The Marquis Reforma (www.marquisreforma.com) offers guests handsome surroundings in a post-modern, Art Deco influenced style. The marble, colonnaded spa features 11 treatment rooms, Swiss shower, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, indoor swimming pool and fully-equipped fitness center. The hotels La Jolla restaurant is presided over by a chef honored at the illustrious Beard House in New York. The lobby lounge offers a chic ambience for cocktails, conversation, and a lavish Sunday brunch.
The hotels unique mix of contemporary and traditional Mexican painting and sculpture, as well as a collection of artwork that reflects the Art Deco designs of the 1930s and 1940s, enhances the charm and warmth of the hotel. Its glowing pink granite and glass faade has welcomed international celebrities including Salma Hayek, Sting, Luis Miguel, Liza Minelli, Phil Collins, and Elton John. On fashionable Paseo de la Reforma in the heart of Mexico Citys cultural and financial district, the Marquis Reforma provides immediate access to the citys finest parks, museums and restaurants.
