A new meeting concept engages delegates by captivating the five senses

Miami, November 27, 2008 " Mandarin Oriental, Miami sets a new standard of excellence in the meetings and incentives market with Meeting Sense, a sensory approach to meeting programs, designed to enhance productivity.

Meeting Sense was developed to engage delegates by stimulating the senses, creating an alert and focused mind, said Ron Rogers, director of catering and conference management. Studies show that the five senses have a significant impact on mood, alertness, energy levels and creativity, so our program is designed to invigorate the senses to help achieve more effective meetings.

Any meeting planner who books at Mandarin Oriental, Miami can receive the Meeting Sense program on a complimentary basis, whether the program includes 10 or 300 delegates. The Meeting Sense program is comprised of five sensory standards that influence sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch, and will take participants on a sensory journey to manage and improve energy levels. For example, to increase energy in the morning, customized displays will be lit in brilliant orange (a color shown to have energizing properties) for breakfast meal presentations while dining in the afternoon, the light displays will be lit in sea green for a calming effect.

The components of the Meeting Sense program include:
Sight " Radiant color lights on breakfast and lunch presentations.
Smell " Infusions of soft citrus scents in meeting rooms in each general session.
Hearing " Melodious sounds of Tibetan spa chimes signaling the conclusion of a break.

Miami, January 7, 2008 " Mandarin Oriental, Miami offers world-class golf instruction through the Crandon Golf Academy located at the nearby Crandon Golf Course, internationally recognized for its challenging, unique design and ranked #79 of Americas top public courses in the country by Golf Digest magazine.

The Hole in One package is aimed at improving the golfers game. Crandon Golf Academys Director of Instruction Alex Fernandez ultimate goal is to exceed his students expectations. He delivers a philosophy that is flexible to all ages and abilities. Ultimately the program is to fit the guests needs and provide quality golf instruction to lower a handicap or improve a swing using state of the art equipment. The program is designed for up to four golfers in a group.

Golfers will enjoy the Hole in One package, which includes:
Three nights accommodation in a Deluxe Bay guest room (single or double occupancy)
Daily American Breakfast
Complimentary transportation to and from Crandon Golf Course located in nearby Key Biscayne

Rates for the package based on a three-night stay for one golfer are as follows:
Rates begin at $2048 from January 1, 2008 to April 5, 2008 and November 27, 2008 to December 31, 2008. From May 26, 2008 to September 30, 2008, rates are from $1388. From April 6, 2008 to May 25, 2008 and October 1, 2008 to November 26, 2008, rates are from $1748.

The package price covers the cost of all Hole in One golf package activities and accommodations. Additional nights may be added at prevailing rates. Lunch does not include alcoholic beverages. This package is subject to availability, does not include room tax and requires a two-week advance booking to secure golf activities.

For additional rounds of 18 holes, the cost is from $150 per round. Golf clubs can be rented for $37.45. To soothe sore and tired muscles, aprs golf massages can be arranged at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

About The Crandon Golf Academy
Alex Fernandez has been teaching professionally for almost a decade. Fernandez delivers his solid experience from working at signature courses throughout the state of Florida to his Golf Academy located at Crandon Golf Course. He has instructed all skill levels from beginners to mini-tour professionals, as well as conducted numerous corporate clinics in South Florida. Fernandez was a top junior player in the state of Florida, played collegiate golf at Barry University and played professionally on several tours around the world for two years. He has gained extensive experience over the years working under several top 100 golf instructors in the country. Fernandez is also currently the Head Mens Golf Coach at St. Thomas University.

Crandon Golf Course
Set against a backdrop of Biscayne Bay, the lush tropical landscape of the Crandon Golf Course, former host of the Senior PGA Champions Tour, is full of colorful vegetation and exotic wildlife and offers guests a relaxing and enjoyable golf experience. The 7,300 yard, par-72 golf course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin in 1972 and redesigned by Von Hagge in 1993.
