My experience overall was a pleasant one. The staff is very accommodating and the shuttle service is very punctual. I must say Kingsmill Resort is a hidden VA treasure.

Just like their address, Kingsmill is a 10 10. The staff are all top notch professionals who put you at ease the moment you step foot on the property. I would recommend Kingsmill for business events and meetings where the need to impress a client or business partner is necessary. You will not be disappointed. Utmost care is taken to make the guests at Kingsmill happy, inside and out, and it shows. The conference event managers are some especially delightful personalities. Just ask for Jodi or Victoria and they will make sure you have everything you need with a smile. I felt so comfortable spending time with them and they made my trip to Williamsburg even more enjoyable. Thank you Kingsmill. Special thanks to Robin and Michael G. WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Dec 9, 2009) - The Mid-Atlantic Section of the Professional Golf Association (PGA) has awarded Chris George, PGA member, as the 2010 Teacher of the Year. George is the head of golf instruction at Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, Va.

The "Teacher of the Year" honor is awarded for excellence in golf instruction along with overall performance as a PGA Professional. The award also recognizes the individual's impact on teaching and golf instruction, involvement in junior golf activities, innovative contributions to golf instruction and articles that have been published.

"We are proud to have such a seasoned professional overseeing our Golf Academy," said Wayne Nooe, Vice President of Golf and Club Operations. "Chris continues to raise the bar on the quality of our programs. He is a proven leader and an outstanding representative of Kingsmill and the game of golf."

George has been the recipient of many awards and accolades throughout his career including being recognized earlier this year by The U.S. Kids Golf organization as one of the best golf instructors for kids in the country. Under Chris' direction, the Kingsmill Golf Academy has also been ranked by GOLF Magazine as one of the top 25 golf schools in the country.

George, a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor with the Titleist Performance Institute, currently teaches all levels of players including a tournament-winning member of the LPGA Tour. WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Oct. 8, 2008) - GOLF Magazine will recognize Kingsmill Resort's Golf Academy as one of the best in the country in its November issue. This is Kingsmill's first time on the list, which annually highlights the Top 25 golf schools in America.

"There must be hundreds of golf schools competing for this title, which makes us very proud to be recognized by GOLF Magazine," said Chris George, PGA, head of instruction at Kingsmill Resort. "I think it's a reflection of our staff and our program which we've improved dramatically over the past few years."

The magazine's decision is based on player feedback, an extensive application process and golf editors' comments regarding the academy and its amenities. Kingsmill was the only golf academy in Virginia on the list.
Kingsmill's golf instructors have more than 50 years of combined teaching experience. George, a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor with the Titleist Performance Institute, currently teaches all levels of players including a tournament-winning member of the LPGA Tour.
