Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Opened in November 2009 on the banks of the Rhine River in Bonn, Germany, the light-filled Kameha Grand Bonn functions as one of the largest geothermal buildings in Europe, storing the heat of summer for winter and the cold of winter for summer. The architecture, combined with state-of-the-art green practices and technology, makes the hotel almost entirely carbon neutral. In June 2010, the Schlummer Atlas editors of the Busche Verlagsgesellschaft proclaimed it Hotel of the Year 2011.
Avant-garde interiors by "rock-star" designer Marcel Wanders follow a neobaroque theme, which continues throughout the public, private, and meeting spaces (for up to 60 and 1,725 participants). Guests live in 190 rooms and 63 suites and share a full-service spa and fitness floor, infinity-edge pool, sushi club, brasserie, and four creative bars and lounges.
