Minutes from downtown San Diego—and walking distance from SeaWorld—Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina–San Diego lines the shores of Mission Bay with eight acres of tropical gardens. A $65 million transformation completed in October 2009 redesigned and updated all 430 guest rooms and suites, brought a new eco-friendly spa, and added three new lagoon-style pools equipped with a beach area, fire pits, private cabanas, and the only resort waterslides in town.

Guests live in a 17-story tower and lanai-style buildings overlooking the Pacific, bay, gardens, courtyard, and pools. They dine at a new poolside pan-Latino bar and lounge near the waterslides and cabanas and at the signature Red Marlin restaurant, which celebrates the seasons with fresh California coastal cuisine overlooking the bay. Water-sports enthusiasts appreciate the marina’s comprehensive equipment rental and whale-watching and sportfishing excursions launched right from shore.

Groups get down to business in a wide variety of meeting spaces, including three ballrooms and an executive conference center. Completion of a top-to-bottom transformation of the Mission Ballroom in July 2010 marked the end of renovations and additions to all 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor venues. While several landscaped areas and the new 9,600-square-foot tented Regatta Pavilion serve for open-air parties and team-building programs, the adjacent Marina Village Conference Center adds another 35,000 square feet of meeting space for even larger affairs.

The hotel's luxurious rooms with stunning ocean views and tropical landscaping are surpassed only by the hotel's ability to exceed your service and food expectations.
