San Antonio, Texas (January 6, 2009) The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa will unveil 10,000 square feet of additional meeting space this month. The additional space will bring the resort's total space to 43,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

The Rogers-Wiseman Pavilion, a semi-permanent venue located adjacent to The Hill Country Golf Club, is ideally suited for exhibits, receptions, golf events and other social gatherings.

With the addition of the fully-appointed pavilion, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country will have the ability to handle larger conferences and conventions such as those that utilize 500 rooms on a peak night. The new space will have indoor and outdoor capabilities and can accommodate groups of up to 700 people in a meal setting and up to 1,000 people reception style.

SAN ANTONIO, TX. - Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has appointed Gino Caliendo general manager of Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. Formerly general manager of Hyatt Regency Miami, Caliendo will manage the day-to-day operation of the 500-room Mobil Four-Star/AAA Four-Diamond resort.

"Hyatt Hill Country is a fabulous resort filled with tradition and gracious hospitality," said Caliendo. "Each and every employee at the resort embodies the true Texas warmth and hospitality. Caliendo began his career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in 1980, in the food and beverage department at Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh. During his 27 years with Hyatt, Caliendo has held numerous management positions at Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort, Hyatt Regency Tampa, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Airport and Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Caliendo served as general manager of Hyatt Regency Coral Gables and Hyatt Regency Deerfield.

Actively involved in the business and civic community, Caliendo served on the board of the Miami Hotel & Motel Association. He was a member of the Greater Miami Chamber, executive committee & board member of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and chairman of the Downtown Task Force. He also served on the board of the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism and the Miami-Dade Tourism Development Council.

A native of Pittsburgh, Caliendo plans to make his new home in San Antonio with his wife Kyla and daughter Gabriella.

Kyle Stevens has been appointed as the new director of sales and marketing for the 500-room Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. Stevens will oversee all sales, marketing and promotions efforts for this Mobil Four-Star/AAA Four-Diamond resort including its world-class spa, 27 - hole championship golf course and five onsite restaurants.

Stevens is a 17-year veteran of Hyatt, and was recently nominated for the 2007 "Director of Sales of the Year" by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Prior to coming to San Antonio, he served as director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Regency Phoenix.

Previously, Stevens held various management positions at Hyatt Regency Calgary and Hyatt Regency O'Hare. In those positions, he managed sales activities and was responsible for directing, coordinating, training and supervising the sales team in all industry-related activities.

Stevens earned a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Hospitality Management from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

SAN ANTONIO, October 7, 2008 - The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa recently promoted Charlene Lopez to associate director of sales and Sean Massay to sales manager.

Formerly a sales manager of the resort, Lopez will now oversee the sales efforts of the meeting connections team as well as assist the director of sales in the sales effort of the 500-room AAA Four-Diamond resort property. In addition, she will be responsible for soliciting business from throughout the West Coast, Florida and Georgia and all international markets.

Lopez is a six-year veteran of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. She began her career with Hyatt as reservations supervisor before transitioning into the sales department as business travel manager. She was then promoted to meeting connections manager and most recently to sales manager.

Lopez earned a bachelor of arts (BA) in English from Texas A & M University and a master of science in human resource management from Tarleton State University in Killeen, Texas.

In his new position Massay will oversee the sales operation of the resort for the Northeast section of the United States. This includes large corporate based businesses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Massay began his career with Hyatt over three years ago as a meeting connections manager where he was charged with booking a higher volume of smaller programs. Prior to entering the hotel and hospitality industry, he was a market research sales manager for Frost & Sullivan.

A native Texan, Massey holds a Bachelor of Art (BA) degree in business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
