Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
In 1957, Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood held their wedding reception at the Hotel Valley Ho, recognized as the height of mid-century modern design at the time. The hotel’s 50-year-plus history brims with names like Bing Crosby, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, and Zsa Zsa Gabor. In 2002 it joined the historic register of Scottsdale, Arizona, and three years later reopened with its mid-century glory restored, expanded, and updated at a cost of $80 million. One admiring critic raved about the recaptured Jetsons-in-the-desert flavor. Another called it one of the best examples of preserved mid-century hotels in the country.
Set on nearly nine acres at the western edge of Old Town Scottsdale, today’s Valley Ho offers 230 four-diamond guest rooms and suites. All have glass walls opening to private balconies or patios. The 39 rooms and suites in the Tower heighten the sense of pampering with amenities like curbside check-in and twice-daily maid service. Groups of up to 550 meet in more than 12,000 square feet of indoor conference space plus another 13,000 square feet outdoors, including the Main Place Courtyard, Palm Court, and exclusive Sky Line Rooftop Terrace overlooking the Valley of the Sun.
Guests lounge at the sparkling martini-glass-and-olive–shaped pool and cabanas, and revitalize at the VH Spa and fitness center with workouts, yoga, belly dance classes, and indulgent body services. Culinary offerings include ZuZu, serving classic American comfort food with a modern twist; Oh Pool Bar, featuring light poolside fare; and around-the-clock service from in-room dining.
