Wi-Fi improvements provide guest and meeting rooms with fastest Internet connection in French Quarter
New Orleans, LA (August 19, 2011) – In an effort to keep up with the demands of current technology trends and Internet bandwidth demands, as of July 1, the Hotel Monteleone completed a major renovation to the Wi-Fi system throughout the hotel and meeting rooms.
Guests are experiencing the maximum signal strength and availability with high-speed Internet connections using either wired or wireless access throughout the Hotel. Each guest room, equipped with its own wireless access point (WAP), is now a Wi-Fi “hotspot.” Additionally, meeting rooms can support more than 3,000 simultaneous users on the fastest Internet connection in the French Quarter.
According to Andrea Thornton, director of sales and marketing, “The Hotel can expand its network into any custom solution required and design it to meet the needs of the most demanding Internet users. It’s combining the ‘at-home’ experience in the guest rooms with technology in place to provide for the most advanced configurations available on the market today.”
