After acquiring a spacious 1912 building in downtown Portland, Kimpton Hotels commissioned well-known designer Cheryl Rowley to restore the structure, resulting in the eclectic Anglo-Chinois Hotel Monaco Portland. Rich shades of chocolate and lilac, and guest room hues of periwinkle, persimmon, and espresso set an inspiring backdrop for the hotel’s theme of “Art Lives Within.” The 221-room Hotel Monaco’s extensive art collection and artful hospitality help coax the creativity out of any group.
