The warmth of the Spanish Riviera meets the warmth of Texas at the allsuite Hotel Contessa, a favorite for corporate events on San Antonio's famed River Walk. The contemporary Mediterranean–style building contains more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space plus 265 Texas-size suites complete with generous foyers and parlors, oversized marble bathrooms, dual work areas, and wireless Internet access. The equally appealing public spaces—from atrium lobby to outdoor terraces—encourage social interaction and impromptu meetings between formal sessions.

Solid-wall construction ensures privacy for groups in the Contessa Ballroom, Cypress Room, boardroom, and seven conference rooms, while three private terraces make for relaxing breaks and meals in the open air. A planning manager works with each visiting planner, backed by an on-the-spot conference concierge, all-day refreshment stand, ergonomic chairs, glare-free lighting, and the latest in meeting technology.

The hotel's restaurant, Las Ramblas, entertains with Spanish cuisine beside the River Walk, and the atrium's Cork Bar pours wine, beer, and some of the River Walk's most innovative cocktails. The incentives for delegates go on to include an Aveda spa, fitness center, and heated rooftop pool; San Antonio River cruises; tours of the historic Alamo; and family getaways to nearby SeaWorld. The lineup of team-building and bonding possibilities ranges from skeet shooting and chili cook-offs to downtown scavenger hunts and wine tasting in the Texas Hill Country.

I knew from the first time I visited the Hotel Contessa that it would be a terrific venue for our board meeting. The staff is wonderful to work with and did everything possible to ensure that meetings ran smoothly.

On the tranquil side of San Antonio's famous Riverwalk, the Hotel Contessa is an oasis, but only steps away from the livelier parts of town. Excellent sales staff and a fine conference services staff combines with creative F&B for an great meeting experience.

Right on the riverwalk, location privately located and next door to the Westin Hotel. Fairly priced and great for groups. Located near shopping and bars and entertainment and the Alamo. Location 25 minutes near airport. Hotel all inclusive meeting packages available.

This hotel is GREAT! The location is perfect and private, but very close
walk to all the restaurants on the River Walk. It has a really cute lobby
bar and outdoor seating overlooking the river/walk. Loved it.
