Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Fresh from a $12-million renovation, the Hilton Savannah DeSoto holds court on the site of the old DeSoto Hotel, first opened in 1890 at the heart of the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. A short stroll from River Street and City Market—surrounded by sun-dappled squares and magnificent colonial and Victorian homes—the hotel's 19,000 square feet of meeting space hosts everything from elite board meetings to receptions for 850 guests.
A rooftop pool and sundeck crown the 18-story building, which also provides a modern fitness center, food-to-go from Beulah's in the lobby, pub fare and televised sports in the Lion's Den lounge, and Lowcountry cuisine at the DeSoto Grille. Like the lobby and most event spaces, the 246 guest rooms exhibit a taste for Southern hospitality supported by the latest technology.
