This AAA four-diamond property underwent a $30 million total hotel renovation in 2008 that updated its 400 guest rooms and suites with wired and wireless high-speed Internet, marble tile showers, and 42-inch plasma TVs with the GuestLINK system to plug in MP3 players, laptops, and digital and video cameras.

Corporate events and business meetings enjoy multiple options at Hilton Charlotte Center City, which features 280,000 square feet of exhibition space, including the 800-capacity Grand Ballroom, 18 breakout rooms, and two executive boardrooms. The Coastal Kitchen and Coastal Bar serve New South cuisine and libations.

Hilton Charlotte Center City is a good place for any size meeting as they can accommodate large and small groups. The event space can be opened up to include neighboring conference rooms for a large event and the smaller rooms are nice and cozy. My overall impression of the staff is that they are professional and highly trained individuals. The event staff were cordial at the event I held at this property and were pleasantly jovial and allowed me to bring my own music for background over their speaker system. That was a big plus to all of the attendees and helped keep everyone happy. The food and beverage was above average but a little pricey.
