Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Family-friendly Hawks Cay on Duck Key in the Florida Keys appeals to kids of all ages. Granted, its 25,000 square feet of versatile event space caters to corporate events, as do the luxurious West Indies–inspired appointments in the 159 guest rooms and 18 suites. A group concierge and T1 Wi-Fi throughout the facilities also come in handy for meeting planners with serious business on the agenda.
But the all-work-and-no-play rule rarely prevails at Hawks Cay. Water sports naturally lead the list of free-time activities. Five pools and a saltwater lagoon punctuate the 60-acre property, next to ocean waters ideal for kayaking, Jet Skiing, and cruising. Memorable incentives include the Dolphin Connection program—which invites guests to swim, feed, and interact with dolphins—and sailing lessons with the Colgate Offshore Sailing School.
