Gansevoort South brought the glamour of New York City’s trend-setting Hotel Gansevoort to sun-splashed Miami Beach when it opened just last year. Located at the north end of Collins Avenue—an area regarded as the next epicenter of South Beach—the original 1960s art deco property has assumed a completely new identity as a contemporary urban lifestyle resort.
The lobby offers a one-of-a-kind welcome, with 27 varieties of fish and sharks swimming in a 50-foot-long glass tank. Upstairs, some of the largest guest rooms in South Beach average 600 square feet, most with unobstructed ocean views. The decor combines charcoal-gray suede walls with splashes of magenta and teal and playful pinup photos from the 1930s and 40s. High-tech perks range from wireless Internet and fax lines to DVD -CD players, 40-inch Sony flat-screen televisions, PlayStation3, Sony Dream System stereos, and iPod docks.
The stylish, high-tech ambience continues in 45,000 square feet of function space, including a 6,500-square-foot ballroom and six state-of-the-art meeting rooms. Outdoor gatherings take place at the 10,000-square-foot Ocean Terrace; the Beach Club’s tri-level, 40,000-squarefoot tropical pool deck and dining oasis; or the Plunge Rooftop, an 18-story-high retreat with a 22,000-square-foot deck, a 110-foot-long pool, and its own bar and lounge.
Add two signature restaurants, the 42,000-square-foot flagship “DavidBartonGym + Spa,” and a full city block of luxury boutiques, and Gansevoort South stands ready as one of South Florida’s most fashionable meeting destinations.

Some great meeting space with incredible ocean views! Very modern hotel - if your attendees don't like modern - you might want to look elsewhere. Great F&B! Incredible fitness center. Very good outdoor spaces also - don't miss Philliipe's while you're at the hotel - very upscale Asian cuisine!

Because South Beach will always be sexy. Miami has outdone itself once again: a 26,000-square-foot rooftop nightclub-one of the largest in the Americas-has just opened atop the new oceanfront Gansevoort South Hotel, Spa & Residences. Called Plunge, the over-the-top playground features chandelier-lit cabanas, an elevated 110-foot-long pool, a dozen palm trees, and a granite bar. The highlight is the view: to the west, the city skyline; to the east, the vast Atlantic.

Twenty-seven types of exotic sharks, stingrays and fish will be introduced into the East Coast's longest seamless aquarium located in the lobby of the new Gansevoort South Hotel. The 17,000 gallon, 53-foot-long tank has taken almost a full year to build, and serves as an intriguing lobby centerpiece and an attractive home for one of Miami's most striking displays of underwater life.
