(June 2007) " The highly-anticipated, two year, $25 million renovation project of the 479-room Frenchmans Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort, which has touched every public space, will be complete this summer. Guests will surely take notice of the new Revive bedding, mahogany and granite furniture, new window treatments in the guest rooms and new bathroom amenities in both the main hotel at Frenchmans Reef as well as in the more intimate 96-unit beach-front Morning Star Resort, which also has 30 flat screen TVs in every room.

All 28 Suites at Frenchmans Reef have been renovated, with $100,000 going into each of the four bi-level Grand Suites. The lobbies in both buildings have been enhanced as well with all new brightly-colored, contemporary Caribbean furniture and a more relaxed check-in area at Morning Star Resort. The refreshing pod seating arrangement in the lobby of Frenchmans Reef is meant to encourage guests to take advantage of the lobby as a public space " great for socializing, conducting business, etc.

The Resort also offers 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting, banquet and function space. In addition, Windows on the Harbour, one of Frenchmans Reefs five restaurants, which overlooks downtown Charlotte Amalie, has also received a face-lift. The restaurant has all new carpeting and booths as well as a revived dining menu, which includes a Fit for you section featuring low cholesterol, carb conscious and low fat meal options.
