NEW HAPPENINGS AT TROON NORTH GOLF CLUB
Troon North Golf Club, known for setting the standard by which all other desert courses are measured, this spring debuted a new club fitting and swing analysis center that will measure vital aspects of a golfers swing with remarkable accuracy. The facility, called the Callaway Golf Performance Center, is one of only 10 in the entire country and the first to open in Arizona.

The Callaway Golf Performance Center at Troon North is one of the most advanced club fitting and analytic tools in golf, providing golfers the same club fitting technology used to fit the worlds top touring professionals like Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, and Annika Sorenstam. The facility combines computerized analysis with the expertise of certified professionals, resulting in a superior fitting experience to provide golfers of all abilities custom specifications.

In fall 2007, Troon North Golf Club also completed a multi-step renovation project led by Tom Weiskopf, the original designer of the Pinnacle course and co-designer of the Monument course. Under Weiskopfs direction, the 36-hole facility was reconfigured by blending the two courses together and changing the sequence in which the holes are played.

Players now will experience two new layouts with improved playability. Both courses will feature shorter distances between the front and back nines, as well as shorter distances between greens and tees and a more walkable Pinnacle course. Guests of Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale have priority use of both the Monument and Pinnacle championship golf courses at Troon North Golf Club, as well as guest privileges at the Troon North Clubhouse.

Concluding the experience, participants have the opportunity to plant a cactus or native plant, thereby helping ensure the sustainability of this unique ecosystem. The hike is offered on a rotating, seasonal basis; the experience is complimentary, with an optional, tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Pinnacle Peak.
