Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village reinvents luxury with a Zen-inspired aesthetic on nine wooded acres of tranquil Asian gardens, pools, and waterfalls at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains just north of Los Angeles. All paths from the 270 guest rooms and suites lead to the expansive 40,000-square-foot spa, where each of the 28 treatment rooms opens onto its own outdoor garden. Beside the heated outdoor pool, 10 private cabanas beckon with lounge chairs, flat-screen televisions and private bars.
Extraordinary themed corporate events spring to life at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, where a soaring pagoda and 40,000-square-feet of indoor/outdoor function space easily accommodate everything from an intimate board meeting to a gala banquet for 900. The 7,000-square-foot on-site TV studio opens opportunities to launch products ready for prime time.

I visited the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village for a site visit soon after the hotel opened. The hotel is very nice, but I soon noticed someone at the hotel loves the color yellow. There's lots of yellow used throughout the property--even at the spa (turns out the owner loves yellow). So, if you like yellow, you'll love the place. Rooms are nice, but a little too tradtional for me. I was expecting a hotel more like the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco (one of my favorites). Food and service are very good, as expected at any Four Seasons. The hotel is located adjacent to the US 101, and the hotel has done a very good job of hiding the nearby freeway.
