Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco Completes a Multimillion-Dollar Renovation.
Posted July 7, 2009
The redesign of the guest rooms, suites and corridors provides contemporary design, a serene colour scheme and modern amenities.
Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is pleased to announce the completion of a $7 million renovation of its guest rooms and suites. The renovation includes a transformation of all 277 guest rooms and the corridors, all of which are outfitted with new contemporary furnishings and amenities. Led by the property's original interior designer, Frank Nicholson, the recent upgrade captures the warmth and vibrancy of San Francisco while also providing a subdued and serene escape from the city with elegant furnishings and modern technologies.
Each guest room has been remodelled in hues of rich mocha and softer teal, with pewter, silver and gold accents. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase views of the San Francisco cityscape, all guest rooms now include the following updated furnishings: credenzas and end tables topped with black granite, coffee tables featuring ebonised black lacquer and crackled glass inlay, fabric headboards and wall coverings, custom sofas and chairs, plush new carpeting, armless Herman Miller Eames desk chairs, Artemide Tizio Classic Italian desk lamps and 42-inch LCD televisions.
"This renovation has elevated our property to another level," says General Manager Doug Housley. "The updated rooms provide a more stylish and contemporary ambiance while still maintaining the 'residential' feel that our guests have grown to love. The renovation reflects our continued commitment to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our guests."
Located on the 17th floor, the famed Presidential Suite has also been completely transformed to include upgraded furnishings and amenities. With 180° views of San Francisco, the suite towers over the city and is reminiscent of a private apartment. The suite's distinctive interior provides a contemporary design, decked out with a modern custom sofa by Brunschwig & Fils, William Switzer's Lucien Rollin Collection lounge chairs, Barbara Barry's "High Back Shelter" lounge chairs made by Baker, a television console made with horizontal-grain wenge veneers and solid cherry frames, a Berman Rosetti coffee table made with wenge wood, handwoven custom area rugs in the living room and foyer entrance and a 50-inch LCD television.
In addition, all of the corridors have been refurbished to complement the guest room renovations with plush new carpets and wall coverings in shades of mocha and teal.
