Fiesta Americana is composed of several sprawling buildings fashioned in classic Mediterranean style. The resort offers 250 luxurious, recently redesigned rooms and suites, all overlooking the Sea of Cortez. It also features three bars, three restaurants, and countless common areas and gardens where visitors can meet and greet.
To unwind, guests can watch the waves at private beachfront palapas, soak up the sun at one of the five pools, or choose from numerous other activities, including golf, horseback riding and snorkeling. The FiestaAmericana is located in the "Hotel Zone" between Los Cabos and San Jose del Cabo. If you are looking for a property that puts you "in the middle of it," this is not it. The hotel sits in the exclusive community of Cabo del Sol. They have a GREAT golf course.
The arrival experience at the Grand isn't so "grand" as you drive right next to the loading dock. But once you're in the lobby, you forget all about that. You enter the hotel on the top level, and the rest of the property cascades down toward the (non-swimmable) beach. Very lovely.
The guest rooms are nice...but nothing special. There is a concierge level, but many of my guests didn't get to experience this club, because they had difficulty finding it. Also, the concierge called the day prior to departure to welcome guests to the club. A little too late.
There was a lot of construction occurring as they were building the time share units during our stay. That became problematic...as they never stuck to the posted work hours.
The meeting space is really lovely and well contained. Lots of outside space for breaks and you're on your own level, so no through traffic. You really feel like you're somewhere special thanks to a beautiful courtyard that is the focal point of the conference level.
All in all, we had several issues...but the executive team was going through transition to help correct the problems. I believe the hotel really can be great...we just didn't get to see it.
I would book here again.

Very pricey for hotel rooms, but the DMC is great. The view and hotel pools are wonderful. There is no free shuttle to downtown though
