Aqu a Cancún’s sleek modern style, caring service, and exceptional dining represent the wave of the future along Mexico’s most popular Caribbean beach. The resort takes a sensual approach to the chic luxury lifestyle, from its see-through, gently
curved architecture to its aromatherapy enhancements.

An aura of calm pervades the guest quarters, all lined in sky and water views. Nightly turndown comes with candles, meditation bells, and mini Zen gardens. Other spa influences include chilled hand towels and beverages upon arrival and massages available at the beach and pool.

The tranquillity deepens even further at the spa, which features a dozen indoor treatment rooms and four outside. Nearby, guests lounge on the beach (one of the nicest on the strip) and around the eight shimmering pools, each kept at a different temperature to enhance invigoration. Meanwhile, restaurants serving Mexican, Mediterranean, and new-American cuisine—all headed by world-renowned celebrity chefs—vie for attention along with a beachside lounge, wine- and mescal-tasting bar, and nightclub hosted by an internationally savvy DJ.

When it’s time to get down to business, delegates adjourn to 16,500 square feet of customizable conference space, all equipped with the latest in light, sound, and computer technology. Boardrooms for 8 to 30 delegates, a ballroom for over 800, and outdoor venues for over 1,000 echo the philosophy of form following function and, above all, pleasing the senses.

Wonderful Property. The guest rooms are fabulous. I am very happy that they are once again open after the hurricane. I will use them again for future events.

*The luxury lifestyle concept unites great design, inventive cuisine and relaxation with soothing aromas, energizing colors and excellent service.
*A symbol of innovative lodging in Mexico, where the Aqua experience is felt throughout the stay, with memorable details, an inspired setting and an exclusive atmosphere.

February 2008. Grupo Posadas announces the much-anticipated opening of the Aqua Cancun hotel, a symbol of innovative lodging in Mexico, where the unique guest experience is felt throughout the stay, with memorable details, a seductive setting and an exclusive atmosphere. Aqua is a vanguard concept, with a sensuality and exceptional quality that captivates guests with its use of exclusive music, relaxing aromas and bold colors to create an atmosphere that is very unique. The Aqua experience stresses technology, innovation, comfort, service, exclusivity and equilibrium in every aspect of operations. It is highlighted by three primary factors: attention to detail, superior food and drinks and an atmosphere that suspends reality.

1) Every detail a unique experience

Aqua Cancun strives to delight its guests with surprising details, surrounded by a liberating and lively atmosphere of quality, balance and subtle luxury. Guests are welcomed with In Lakech, a Mayan greeting that expresses the staffs philosophy of devoted service and desire to please. Your wish " my wish (su deseo es nuestro deseo), is the hotels motto, showing a willingness to do what it takes to give its guests a memorable stay. Aroma plays an important role at the Aqua. From the hotel lobby on, essences of mint, spearmint, eucalyptus and light touches of lavender fill the air. Guests can enjoy aromatherapy in their rooms as well, with an exclusive scent menu with selections for energy, tranquility, relaxation, romance, plus the signature Aqua aroma.

Another vital part of the Aqua experience is the music. The hotels in-house DJ, Gotardo Dorado, a 20-year music veteran, has created a musical soundtrack of more than 40,000 legal tracks of many different genres for the entire hotel, with different melodies for each part of the resort, creating an intense overall sensory experience for each guest.
For example, the music in the lobby is calming and tranquil, making you feel like you are entering a spiritual temple, while at the poolside sundeck, chill-out tunes and beach-style house music fills the air. When the sun goes down, the music and lighting transform the resort into night mode, with a pulsing energy worthy of its Caribbean location.

2) Aqua Cancun tempts diners with celebrity chefs

Experimental Italian Chef Franco Maddalozzo tempts the senses with Latin ceviches, vanguard snacks and a unique interactive buffet, ideal for diners looking for flavor, variety and originality.

To complement the great cuisine, the hotels drink-master Steve Olson"one of the worlds top wine and beverage connoisseurs"has created a philosophy of sophistication, playfulness and detail for all drinks served at the resort.
Olsons own concept bar, the AKA Wine & Mezcal Bar, features a sophisticated style that is as playful as it is unique, with textured wood, rich colors and brightly colored textured tapestries. It is a hotspot for tasting world-class wines combined with an upscale tapas menu.

Bar Egos is an exclusive bar and lounge that seduces guests with a hip and intense environment where visitors can enjoy the rhythms of house music. Well-known DJs from South Beach, New York and Ibiza entertain guests while they sip cocktails on the ocean-view veranda. The Shore Club helps guests forget about their hectic lives and revel in the beach lifestyle. It offers exclusive beach-side lounging, with cabanas, hammocks, sunbeds, swings and massage tables. Cool mist chills the air and a specially created mix of music puts everyone in the mood for fun. "Sleep Rejuvenation" at Mexico's Aqua Cancun Resort

Insomniacs, sleep-deprived new parents, spouses of chronic snorers, take note: The new Aqua Cancn, a high-end lifestyle hotel that reopened in February after it was destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in 2005, wants to help you get some sleep. The hotel is now offering a sleep rejuvenation experience, which, according to a hotel press release, will bring any restless visitor to a holistic state of bliss.

These are several of the hotels slumber-inducing tactics:
*Upon check-in, guests select their choice of pillow (there are seven different options) from a pillow library.
* Soothing music"specifically aimed at lowering guests blood pressure"is played throughout the hotel.
*Hotel guests put the sun to bed and welcome the moon with a Sun & Moon Welcoming Ceremony, a Mayan ritual held in the hotel lobby every evening.
*Guests get aromatherapy turndown service, in which they select their sleepytime scent of choice (including mint, eucalyptus, and lavender) from an in-room scent menu.
*The hotel spa offers a sleep-inducing treatment, Le Siest, or The Nap, in which the body is submerged in water that remains a constant 97 F (sounds like a warm bath to me...) and is then massaged.
*Guests can also choose to sleep in a beach or pool cabana (there are eight pools so theres bound to be one that's quiet). Inside the cabana, guests have a pampering basket with massage sticks, hot stones, and an iPod"pre-loaded with a sleep-inspired mix compiled by the hotels in-house deejay.

And if all else fails, hotel mixologist Steve Olson will make you a soothing cup of tea before bedtime.

Note: If you want to get the sleep rejuvenation experience, make sure you mention that when reserving a room. And of course, this deal is also open to those who may not want to sleep beyond the usual eight hours.
