Designed in 1912 by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, who also designed The Plaza in New York, Boston's Fairmont Copley Plaza has played host to an array of distinguished guests over the years, including nearly every U.S. president since William Howard Taft. A recent $34 million renovation and restoration of the Boston icon aimed at meeting and exceeding the expectations of modern business and leisure travelers.

Meeting planners arranging large-scale corporate events opt for the Renaissance-inspired Ballroom, holding up to 1,000 guests, while the smaller Oval and St. James Rooms offer more intimate settings for business meetings and seminars. Private dinners for up to 30 may book the dark wood–paneled Wine Room, although guests may also choose to dine in the main section of the hotel's legendary Oak Room.
