Christoph Henkel, owner of Dunton Hot Springs, a perfectly restored ghost town and exclusive resort nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains of the Colorado Rockies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Edoardo Rossi as General Manager. Rossi brings nearly 10 years of hospitality management experience, having most recently served as opening Hotel Manager for Scrub Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands, and Villa Director of Peter Island Resort prior to that. Rossi began his career in various operational capacities at Skibo Castle in Dornoch, Scotland and Le Meridian in Phuket, Thailand respectively. He then moved to Carnegie Abbey Club in Newport, Rhode Island where he started as the opening Food & Beverage Manager, and worked his way to Director of Operations. He then transferred to Bovey Castle in Dartmoor, England where he held the position of Director of Food & Beverage and assisted with the rebranding of that Property before moving on to Peter Island Resort in the BVI.
A native of Italy, Rossi has earned numerous accolades for himself and the properties at which he has worked throughout his career from Wine Spectator, Golf Digest, etc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management from world renowned Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, and currently resides at Dunton Hot Springs in Dolores, Colorado. Together with recently appointed Director of Marketing, Sales & PR Christina Rossi, Edoardo and his team will oversee all of Dunton Hot Springs' operational activities.
Additionally, Mrs. Christina Rossi, who previously served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Peter Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands assumes the responsibilities of managing all marketing, sales and public relations efforts for Dunton Hot Springs. A native of Murphy, North Carolina, Rossi has more than 12 years hospitality management experience. She previously served as Revenue & Reservations Manager for Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia and prior to that as Director of Marketing and Information Services for Turneffe Island Lodge in Belize, Central America. She then moved to the Corporate Offices for Peter Island Resort in Atlanta, Georgia where she started as the Corporate Director of Revenue & Reservations prior to being named Director of Sales & Marketing. Rossi obtained her MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia, is Green Belt Six Sigma certified, and runs her own hospitality consulting and training company, CHREDO Hospitality.
