Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Parisian designer Joseph Dirand took a minimalist mid-twentieth-century approach to the interiors at Distrito Capital, a chic boutique hotel in Mexico City's Santa Fe district. The art-centric public spaces—including a lounge-friendly pool area, several terraces, and a film-projection room—encourage social interaction, while the 30 accommodations encourage private relaxation with furnishings by designer-icons like Charlotte Perriand and Wim Rietveld. High ceilings and huge windows fill the rooms with natural light and views that go on forever.
The hotel also provides a conference center for 10 to 15 people, business center, library, solarium and gym, and fifth-story restaurant and bar. The world-renowned chef, Enrique Olvera, fuses Mexican and international influences, presenting dishes like seared tuna with spicy cilantro cream and avocado ravioli stuffed with shrimp and chipotle mayonnaise.
