Castle Hill Inn & Resort occupies the Agassiz Mansion, built in 1874 by mining magnate, gentleman explorer, and Harvard marine biologist Alexander Agassiz on a 40-acre private peninsula outside Newport, Rhode Island. Still surveying the lighthouses, marine life, and yachts of Narragansett Bay, the Victorian mansion—now The Inn and a member of Relais & Chateaux—holds nine exquisite guest rooms and suites.
