Now part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection, Boca Beach Club at Boca Raton Resort & Club shines as a beacon of modern seaside hospitality on the south Florida coast. A spring 2009 reopening unveiled a $120-million makeover in a style perhaps best described as barefoot elegance—fresh, airy, light-filled spaces along a sparkling half-mile beach in Boca Raton. Highlights include a chic contemporary lobby and arrival experience, 212 guest rooms and suites, fine-dining and casual restaurants and bars, and a sprawling seaside Pool Oasis featuring private cabanas and poolside service around three magnificent pools.

For executive business and social affairs, views of the beach and ocean line open-air reception areas outside the Dunes Ballroom and seven smaller meeting rooms. Teams of seasoned meeting, catering, and event planners guarantee creative style and flawless execution for every occasion.

Boca Beach Club guests enjoy access to all the amenities of the legendary Boca Raton Resort & Club. Founded by the visionary hotelier Addison Mizner in 1926, the classic 356-acre property emerged recently from a multimillion-dollar makeover as well. Guests at both locations share a choice of 19 diverse food and beverage outlets, world-class tennis and golf, the renowned Spa Palazzo—and an additional 146,000 square feet of event space at The Cloister, Great Hall Center, Tower, Yacht Club, and Mizner Center.

The food was spectacular, the banquet staff was amazing.
THere were a lot of hiccups. the checkin process was very frustrating , bell staff was more interested chatting with eachother than attending to an arriving guest in a private vehicle.

I reported a problem with my key lock every day and it was never resolved. I had to get a new key card made after ever entrance.

The resort is beautiful, the location and the variety of styles is a plus.
A couple of areas of improvement:
-Conference/Food & Beverage Staff - Absolutely the best, great people, very helpful, friendly, willing to go above and beyond the expectations.
-Food and Beverage - 110% on presentation, taste, variety, I absolutely loved it.
-Boca Beach Club Rooms - The iron boards were quite small and not functional.
-Front Desk Staff - Could have been nicer and more professional.

BOCA RATON, FL. (March 2, 2009) " The 212-room Beach Club at Boca Raton Resort & Club has officially re-opened with all amenities fully operational following an extensive transformation inspired by its stunning oceanfront location on one-half mile of private beach across the Intracoastal Waterway from the main resort. The completion coincides with anticipated plans for the Resort & Club to join The Waldorf Astoria Collection in spring 2009.

Were delighted to present our redesigned Beach Club, said Stephen J. Ast, President, Boca Raton Resort & Club. We now offer modern travelers an unrivalled full-service beach resort experience on Floridas Gold Coast, complete with world-class dining, spa, golf and tennis.

The newly renovated Boca Beach Club features a relocated entrance, new third floor lobby and reception area with striking ocean views, redesigned cabana-style guestrooms and suites, new ocean view fitness center, new Camp Boca childrens activity center, three new restaurants, new meetings and ballroom space, three new outdoor pools with signature lounge areas, new private poolside cabanas and new in-sand beach lounges. All showcase the refreshing contemporary style of designer Fiona Thompson of Londons Richmond International that mixes sleek European sensibility with South Florida beach chic. Rates begin at $299.

Public Spaces
The Beach Clubs new entrance and spacious lobby and reception areas welcome guests with sweeping ocean views. The new lobby design and location, reached by a wide circular drive, has greatly enhanced traffic flow and ease of guest check-in and departure. A dramatic infinity pool runs through the lobby to expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and onto the outdoor lobby terrace that overlooks the pool and beach oasis, merging the airy indoor spaces with the Atlantic Ocean horizon. Venetian plaster, titanium, stone, alabaster and glass tile wall surfaces sparkle in refracted sunlight and candlelight. Fresh tones of yellow, grey, soft blue and pearl in textured fabric contrast with rich dark woods on custom furnishings in the new SeaGrille restaurant and adjoining Ocean Bar, set behind a distinctive metal and glass curtain, where every seat commands a water view.

Cabana-style Guestrooms & Suites
The spacious 212 cabana-style guestrooms, including nine suites, are cool and inviting and awash in natural light. The rooms feature views of the Atlantic Ocean or Intracoastal Waterway and a glamorous palette of charcoal grey and white accented by vibrant pillows and artwork by Ruth Corman. Soft white sheers frame floor-to-ceiling windows with center sliding doors that open to reinforce the cabana experience, while blackout draperies ensure darkness for the lightest of sleepers. Curvaceous custom white leather pods provide seating and additional storage at the foot of each all-white plush bed. Guest baths offer stone-clad showers, separate soaking tubs and dual vanities. All rooms feature wireless Internet access.

Second floor Ocean Terrace guestrooms include a furnished balcony with ocean views. Sky Deck accommodations on the fifth floor include 250-square-feet of private ocean view sun deck space outfitted with lounging and dining furniture. Ground floor Poolside Lanai guestrooms offer 550-square-feet of interior space and direct access to the adjacent Pool Oasis. The 840-square-foot one-bedroom Ocean Vista Suites feature a cabana-style living area with sofa bed and powder room, and offer the option of an additional adjoining bedroom.

Beach & Pool Oasis
This outdoor oceanfront paradise is home to three new pools, each with its own signature lounging areas in soft grey, yellow, white and aqua tones, including oversized cushioned platforms and covered chaise lounges that may be reserved for the day. The zero-entry family pool is ideal for young children and comfortable cooling dips. The adult fitness pool is perfect for swimming laps. The infinity-edge Atlantic pool sits center stage and adjoins the new Beaches Restaurant and Bar, whose staff provides the areas only on-beach service, taking lounge-side orders and delivering snacks, meals and specialty beverages to pool and beach guests all day.

Nearby, 46 new private poolside cabanas offer outdoor lanais with lounges, private indoor sitting areas with sofa, flat screen TV, dining table for four, mini-bar, refrigerator and electronic safe, and full bath with mosaic tiled shower. Cabana butlers provide personalized service throughout the day. On the private one-half-mile of beach, comfortable dual sun-dial lounges in the sand are premium spots for sunning and dining, and virtually every ocean water sport is available.

The Beach Clubs new state-of-the-art fitness center offers the latest in cardio and strength training equipment, including a Kinesis wall for targeted training, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the pool deck and ocean beyond. Mens and womens locker rooms include high tech equipment to spin dry wet swimsuits in seconds.

In addition, all public areas, including pool oasis and private cabanas, offer complimentary WiFi access.

Dining
Three new dining venues provide a multitude of options. SeaGrille, the lobbys ocean view centerpiece, specializes in breakfast and nightly dishes starring sustainably caught fresh fish and seafood. Beaches Restaurant and Bar offers an array of appetizer and lunch specialties to pool and beach guests, including the signature Singapore Chop Chop salad mixed in an oversized martini shaker and innovative, sand-proof Boca Beach Box choices in custom acrylic bento boxes. Snack is a convenient grab-and-go contemporary caf that features breakfast, lunch and dessert items prepared daily, including an inventive salad bar, premium sushi, and creative Boca Pail Meals just for children who can then use the fun beach pail and shovel for sand sculpture masterpieces. The sleek to-go spot also offers an extensive beverage menu that includes soft drinks, coffees, teas, organic juices and frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity.

Executive Meetings & Retreats
The Beach Clubs new Dunes Ballroom with direct views of the pool deck and seven new state-of-the-art meeting rooms are ideal for board meetings, executive retreats and corporate events. Dedicated meeting staff will customize every element, from unique team building events or energizing beach breaks to interactive spouse programs and award-winning catering, making the intimate Boca Beach Club the perfect choice for small meetings.
