Hotel BlueBay Grand Esmeralda, Riviera Maya, has received the 3rd consecutive year, RCI Gold Crown Resort Recognition 2011, a distinction that RCI (Resort Condominiums International, Ltd.) given in recognition of the extraordinary commitment shown by the operations staff, partners and their managers to achieve high quality in our facilities.

This recognition is obtained after analyzing the comments collected from partners who traveled in vacation exchange for a period of 12 months. Such partners or customers are saying about the quality, the service received and on the general holiday experience, and physical evaluation of facilities development.

The award was presented to Mr. Geert de Bruyne, Resident Director at BlueBay Grand Esmeralda, by Jesus Calahorra, Director of Service Development in the Mexican Caribbean RCI.

BlueBay Grand Esmeralda has received numerous awards among them Silver Plate Hotel Inspection Program Transat (PIH) 2010-2011 and Top All Inclusive Riviera Maya 2010 Expedia, among others.

The BlueBay Villas Doradas in Dominican Republic and BlueBay Grand Esmeralda in Riviera Maya, has been awarded the Silver Plate Hotel Inspection Program Transat (PIH) that recognizes the collaborative program of the health and safety tour operator.


The award was presented by Christiane Periard, inspector in charge of the inspection program of the Canadian Tour operator Air Transat.

The program has been created for a progressive working relationship between hotels and tour operator. It aims to ensure the health and safety standards necessary to the welfare of clients. The inspection is performed by a sampling period of one to two days. Transat inspected 228 hotels in Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba and other Caribbean islands. The program evaluated according to 163 criteria related to health and safety of a hotel (public areas, rooms, pool, bar and restaurants, feeding areas and kitchens).

Hotetur, hotel chain of the Marsans Group, and Germaine de Capuccini, professional cosmetic leader in Spain, signed an alliance yesterday in Alcoy, Alicante (in the latter's head office) with the aim of maximizing the spa service offered by both of the chain's hotel brands: Hotetur and BlueBay.

The combination of the guest experience of any of the chain's hotels, with the extensive experience of Germaine de Capuccini in the world of cosmetics applied to Spa treatments, means that it is possible to create a line which mixes exclusivity, luxury and access to some innovating treatments which satisfy even the choosiest guests.

The agreement was signed between Jess Vidal, Chairperson of Germaine de Capuccini and Enric Noguer, Managing Director of Hotetur. The first implementation of this agreement is that the Spas of the luxury chain Bluebay will begin to operate under the brand name "BB2O Germaine de Capuccini".

Currently, the implementation of the first "BB2O Germaine de Capuccini" is being carried out in the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda in Riviera Maya (Mexico). This Spa has over 2,500m2 of modern facilities which are spread over two floors. This implementation is due to be finished in all of the chain's Spas during the year 2008.

During this time, Germaine de Capuccini's consultancy will also continue making improvements in the different managing aspects of the spas in the Hotetur chain, such as incorporating training procedures, and product, treatment, decoration and accessory availability.

This alliance helps to maximize the added value of Hotetur and BlueBay hotels in the eyes of those guests who, continuously increasing in number, wish to complement their leisure, tourist or relaxing stay with personal and health care and indulge in the most state-of-the-art treatments.

International Certification Awarded to Hotels that Comply with Stringent International Health and Safety Standards
