Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
Bellagio earns consistent accolades as one of the top meeting venues in the world. Set at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, the hotel presents the spectacular O by Cirque du Soleil. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art showcases priceless works on loan from museums around the globe. In fact, everything pays tribute to the ultimate in quality and creativity, from the Tuscan-style design and dancing fountains out front to the guest rooms, Michelin-starred restaurants, casino, nightspots, luxury retailers, spa, and meeting venues.
Groups of virtually every size and purpose meet in 200,000 square feet of dedicated conference space. The 50 rooms range from 1,170 to 45,000 square feet, all supremely flexible and attended by meeting planners and managers, caterers, and technicians devoted to the fine art of meeting well.
Yet another venue, Tuscany Kitchen, further illustrates the hotel’s extraordinary commitment to groups with its exhibition kitchen devoted to participants learning the culinary secrets of award winning chefs, as well as the mysteries of wine pairing from master sommeliers. The facility goes beyond cooking demonstrations to also host formal dinners and tastings, receptions, spouse activities, and popular team-building programs. What’s more, planners can book many of the hotel’s restaurants, nightclub, ultralounge, or poolside terraces for custom events as well.
All the while, the AAA Five Diamond Award bears witness to the world-class standard of hospitality—and the hotel’s specialty of turning business meetings into masterpieces.
Planner Reviews
From our planner community
Overall Rating: 10.0/10
We originally were looking at a different location, but our attendees balked and insisted we look to Bellagio to host their annual meeting. They were not disappointed at all, and rated the whole mtg/food/ancillary experience excellent upon review. Meeting services staff was spot-on for anticipating and monitoring needs. Nice job, thank you!

Perfect property for events/meetings.

Our attendance soared when we went to the Bellagio due to the name, location and reputation. Their catering and convention services team lived up to the reputation onsite (we did have a couple small hick-ups in pre-planning but they completed made up for it on-site). I heard they are doing room renovations to be completed by early 2012 and I will definitely be going back in 2012 or 2013. Great experience, great location.

Aside from a beautiful environment, Bellagio's focus is on helping the planner achieve a successful event.Thank you for holding yourself to such high standards while making it easy to do business.

We have held two events at the Bellagio and looking forward to our third in a few months. The Bellagio people are fantastic to work with and very accommodating with unexpected necessities. Not once were we told “It was not part of your contract”; which I hear too frequently from other venues. Our event attendees are executives in the hotel industry, so you can imagine how critical they can be of their competition. Even they rated the Bellagio a 4.2 on a scale of 1 to 5. I highly recommend the Bellagio.
The only downside is the sheer size of property and the distance between the meeting space and guestrooms. When you are on your feet all day, the walk back to your room can be torture.

Most memorable: worked w/ Bellagio staff to contract w/ 3rd party vendor to turn ballroom into hip club type atmosphere w/ a sponsored vodka luge, black & white material covered walls & ceiling w/ \"light tornado\" in center of ballroom. Great food & event.

Let me justify my guest service rating by saying that there was a gas main break in the city and many guests were giving the front desk a difficult time because the hotel did not have hot water for several hours. By the time i was ready to check-out, the attendant looked like she had had it, so she wasn't as friendly as maybe she would have been on a regular day.

Registration process was excellent. No problems. Hotel offered several venues for food and beverage. Room was not ready for reception and caused guest to leave at scheduled time and not stay for entire event. Art gallery was closed and group should have received prior notice. All attendees enjoyed the property. On site staff was informative and helpful. I would take GROUP AGAIN.

This hotel is expensive, but in my opinion, the best in Las Vegas. The shopping is spectacular and the hotel and rooms are just beautiful. If your dates are flexible, you can book more affordable rates - their website is very helpful in finding affordable rates.

The hotel is huge, which involves extensive walking to your room and all meeting space. Food & Beverage pricing quite high. Rooms and suites very nice.
Excellent location on the Vegas Strip close to everything.

Not only is The Bellagio one of the most beautiful properties in Las Vegas, its customer service is unparalleled. The staff is always top notch, going above and beyond for every request. Every meeting Coca-Cola has ever planned or I have ever attended has been very successful. The Bellagio's on-site restaurants are excellent and the rooms are first class. The amenities are exquisite complete with a world class spa.

Excellent attendee experience! Beautiful lobby and meeting space. The meeting space is away from the fray of the casino with wide hallways and plenty of signage opportunities. They have very comfortable and luxurious sleeping rooms and a wide variety of excellent restaurants!

MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS MOBILE APP SERVICES TO GOOGLE'S ANDROID & RIM'S BLACKBERRY OPERATING SYSTEMS
Posted February 3, 2011
Twelve Free Las Vegas Resort & Entertainment Apps Now Available on Additional Smartphones
LAS VEGAS - February 1, 2011 - MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM; www.mgmresorts.com) recently launched 12 free applications on Google's Android and is set to launch them on Research In Motion's BlackBerry OS in March. Previously only available on iTunes, the expansion into additional operating systems allows MGM Resorts International to deliver new ways to explore its Las Vegas hotels and attractions for a broader customer base.
"We've created a dynamic new way to engage our guests with a convenient information and reservation system and the response on iTunes so far has been incredible with more than 200,000 downloads," said Scott Voeller, Vice President of Brand Strategy and Advertising for MGM Resorts. "The overwhelming popularity of Smartphones initially motivated us to create the apps for iPhones, but the opportunity to reach more guests with exclusive offers and content and also receive their direct feedback encouraged us to expand to Android and BlackBerry users."
Feature-rich resort applications for ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus Circus in Las Vegas and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi deliver some of the world's most immersive interactive resort experiences currently available.
In addition to the resort apps, MGM Resorts and MacroView Labs developed "Entertainment of Las Vegas," an app expressly designed to deliver video previews, show times, event calendars, directions and the ability to purchase tickets to all of MGM Resorts' Las Vegas entertainment and attractions.

For Vegas, Five Diamond bragging rights
Posted December 7, 2010
By: Damon Hodge
December 06, 2010
The folks who making a living selling Las Vegas can start spreading the news: Las Vegas is now home to 15 AAA Five Diamond resorts and restaurants, more than any other city in the country.
"From what I understand, Las Vegas not only has more AAA Five Diamond establishments than any other city in the country, but also in the world," said AAA Nevada spokesman Michael Geeser.
"This means a couple things for the city. For starters, it elevates the city's reputation for quality and service, things that travelers really desire. More importantly, it affirms that the city is able to deliver on its promises."
Vegas' Five Diamond hotels include CityCenter's Aria and Mandarin Oriental along with repeat winners Bellagio, Encore, Four Seasons, Skylofts at MGM Grand, Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas, Venetian and the now-shuttered Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas (Dolce Hotels & Resorts plans to reopen and rebrand the Ritz-Carlton this spring).
This award marks the Four Seasons' 12th consecutive year as a AAA Five Diamond hotel and Bellagio's 10th year receiving the honor.
All the Five Diamond award-winning restaurants in Las Vegas are repeat recipients, including Alex at Wynn Las Vegas, Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace , Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand and Picasso and Le Cirque at Bellagio.
Nationally, seven restaurants were removed from AAA's Five Diamond list; none were added. The recently released AAA Five Diamond list covered Northern California, Utah and Nevada. National lists will be unveiled in January.
"AAA has been around more than 100 years, and our membership continues to grow; in Nevada, there are more than 365,000 AAA members, Northern California has more than 4 million and Utah has more than 300,000," Geeser said.
"They count on us. If we tell members that this place reached a certain level, it better be true. ... The recognition tells travelers that you're not going to be let down, that these places will not underdeliver."
Bellagio earns 10 consecutive AAA Five Diamond Awards
Posted November 23, 2010
The Bellagio Hotel-Casino has been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 10th consecutive year, becoming the first resort in Las Vegas to reach this milestone.
The Bellagio also retains its distinction as the only resort in the U.S. to be home to two AAA five diamond restaurants, Picasso and Le Cirque.

Bellagio to pair wine, art in monthly event
Posted November 17, 2010
The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art this month premiered "Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing." The monthly event will feature master sommelier Jason Smith, the Bellagio's director of wine, pairing wines with artworks featured in the current exhibition "Figuratively Speaking: A Survey of the Human Form."
The events are held the second Wednesday of every month and feature art and pairings that will vary from champagne to tequila to possibly beer, depending on the inspiration, the gallery said. The events will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with an interactive wine and art conversation with Smith and Tarissa Tiberti, the gallery's director, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 for members and $33 for nonmembers.
Art and beverage pairings will include Renoir's "Young Algerian Woman Leaning on a Parapet" with a French Viognier from the Provence region, and Vik Muniz's "Boy with a Pipe, After Pablo Picasso (Pictures of Pigment)" with a 2006 Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in Australia.
"I have spent many years studying wine, and these events are pushing my wine knowledge to a whole new level," Smith said in a statement. "'Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing' not only allowed me to view the works of art from a different perspective, but it added a visual dimension to the joy of tasting wine."
"Figuratively Speaking: A Survey of the Human Form" will be on view through Jan. 9. The Bellagio gallery opens daily at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and closes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Tickets are $15; $12 for seniors; free for children 12 and younger. Tickets and information are available by calling (877) 957-9777 or online at www.bellagio.com.

Spring arrives at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Posted March 30, 2010
The spring floral exhibition at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens features seven large-scale bronze ants by artist Susan P. Cochran.
Guests can climb atop the 8,500-pound queen, which rests below two towering yellow jonquils and provides an ideal vantage point for viewing an exhibit of botanical snails and bumblebees as well as brightly colored tulips, poppies, daisies, mums and daffodils.
Steps away, three 10-foot-long ants can be found at the mouth of a 15-foot-tall flowerpot, overflowing with rainbow-hued blooms. A spring butterfly rests atop the oversize pot while a 28-foot spade stands nearby. Overhead, bumblebees made of preserved sunflowers pause midflight in their search for nectar.
Five giant mushrooms, ranging from 5 to 15 feet tall, provide a canopy for the pair of 6-foot-tall ants found communicating below. Within its fragrant symmetrical borders, a large anthill is flanked by two water spheres. A 3-foot-long ant is seen crawling from its earthen tunnel as a counterpart works nearby. A French garden completes the botanical fantasyland.
The exhibit also features 10 potted olive trees, each more than 100 years old. Over the years, the trees have been carefully sculptured into oversize, bonsai-style presentations.
The exhibit is free to the public and will be on display through May 9.

Designed by the world-renowned Rockwell Group of New York City, Yellowtails elegant wood and stone decor will foster a vibrant atmosphere and its intimate size will exude exclusivity. The restaurants signature design element, a 25-by-13-foot, wall-mounted installation at the entrance, will be created using bronze metal scales that resemble the dorsal side of the eponymous fish. The dining room will offer a cozy setting with screens composed of woven twigs set inside antique brass frames. Diners seeking the quintessential Las Vegas experience will enjoy the excitement of The Strip from a patio overlooking Bellagios famed fountain show.
The design of Yellowtails menu will encourage sharing and mimics Chef Backs culinary philosophy to bring happiness to my guests by creating a memorable experience through food. Accessible and fun shared plates will include Toro Sashimi with caviar and microgreens; Yellowtail with Serrano peppers, cilantro and yuzu-kosho, a condiment made from the zest of yuzu blended with chili peppers and salt.
Warm shared plates include farm-raised, grain-fed Jidori Chicken, popular with Japanese chefs, prepared with sweet Japanese garlic, potato puree, baby root vegetables and teriyaki; and Grilled Walu, Hawaiian Butterfish with shiitake mushrooms, pearl onions and tosa sauce, a bonito-flavored vinegar and soy sauce mixture.
In addition to traditional raw fish preparations, Chef Back will create a selection of innovative dishes inspired by his global travels as a professional snowboarder and experiences working with industry greats, such as Nobu and Morimoto. These dishes include Big Eye Tuna Pizza with shiso, an aromatic mint-like herb popular in Japan; and Maine Lobster Carpaccio with sweet onion and cilantro. Washu beef, a domestic breed of Kobe, will be featured on Yellowtails menu in three different preparations, while Japanese Kobe beef and Washugyu beef will be offered in tenderloin or rib-eye cuts, seared in hot oil, marinated in balsamic teriyaki, or cooked using the traditional tataki method.
Yellowtail will offer a hand-selected extensive sake collection, encompassing several different types from the classic to the avant-garde representing many prefectures from across Japan. Large bottles of sake and souchu also will be displayed at the 18-seat bar where illuminated rice paper and colorful photos of Japanese flowers will offer a warm glow. A selection of wine, beer and signature cocktails, including the exotic yuzu-infused Peridot or the light and refreshing Asian Pear will complement the menu.
Yellowtail will offer a 180-seat dining room, 30-seat intimate lounge, and 30-seat private dining room. Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant & Bar will be open 7 days a week for lunch from noon to 3 p.m.; dinner will be available 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday " Thursday, and 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
