Golf

Accompanying the freshly redesigned golf course, The Lakes, is an all-new, state-of-the-art clubhouse equipped with a private concierge, spacious locker rooms, modern pro-shop with Callaway club rentals, putting practice area, and the 19th Hole, a unique bar and restaurant with panoramic views of the course. Beginners and pros alike are welcome to attend daily golf clinics or private lessons taught by official PGA instructors.

Brand-new accommodations include a deluxe and family suite designated just for players with convenient access to the course and stunning views of the sprawling green landscape.

Reimagined by legend P.B. Dye, this championship green showcases rolling fairways that wind through a lush mangrove forest, 25 inland lakes and 122 strategically positioned bunkers. Capitalizing on the natural beauty of the Bávaro area, the course incorporates the native plants indigenous to the area while maintaining meticulously manicured greens to produce an ideal playing surface with the highest industry standards. Children and Teens

Designed with their age in mind, the Maxi Club, a comprehensive teen entertainment district for ages 13-17, contains an interactive water park, wave pool, mini-golf range, private bar, game room and disco. Parents need not worry; the Maxi Club is adult-supervised to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.

Buccaneers can tame the high seas in a whole new adventure at Pirate’s Cove – a waterpark complete with a themed pool, swashbuckling pirate ship outfitted with thrilling water slides and a one-of-a-kind wave pool. Designed by architect Juan Manuel Gordillo, this par-72 course is one of the most popular spots to tee off in Punta Cana. Recent guests of the hotel and the course say the only real downside to Barcelo Bavaro's 18 holes is that they aren't situated near the ocean. Until Dec. 24 this golf course will be renovating its front nine holes; visitors can play the back nine twice.

The greenway is located on the grounds of the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino Resort, but open to outside guests as well. Day rates include equipment rental and hotel access, but you should make your reservations up to 24 hours in advance. Visit Bavaro's website for more information.
