Wynn Las Vegas Unveils Newly Renovated Rooms

Posted 3 Days Ago at 10:13 AM by Elite News Team
AUGUST 31, 2010 - Wynn Las Vegas continues to set the bar for luxury and excellence in Las Vegas and unveils the first completely renovated resort rooms at Wynn.

Designed by Roger Thomas, Executive Vice President of Design for Wynn Design and Development, the rooms feature rich new finishes-including wallpaper, carpets, chairs, couches and lamps-while maintaining the functionality, spaciousness, configuration and casually elegant residential quality that has become the hallmark of Wynn resorts. The renovation project at Wynn Las Vegas encompasses all guest rooms and suites and is slated to continue through early 2011.

"Wynn has been open for just over five years, and we felt is was time to do more than just refresh the rooms, but to really give them a completely different feel," said Wynn Las Vegas and Encore President Andrew Pascal. "The new rooms are fresh and crisp and light; they are incredibly uplifting."

Thomas, who has designed guest rooms for Steve Wynn for 30 years, adds, "While we have always designed our guest accommodations to be residential, this line is so luxurious and so beautiful, I could take it home with me! This is the way I live."

The new Resort Deluxe room offers a modern update to our classic resort room. Featuring a crisp, neutral and creamy decor, the Resort Deluxe is draped in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and accented by an array of contemporary furnishings and fabrics. Additional, advance technologies including remotely controlled lighting, drapery and room service messaging are the pinnacle of guest convenience and privacy. Choose between one king bed or two double beds in this 640 square-foot retreat with a view of our golf course or the Las Vegas Strip.

Views of the Las Vegas Strip and the 18-hole golf course are the centerpieces of the upgraded Panoramic View Deluxe room-an enhanced hideaway featuring wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows. Evocative of a residence yet as indulgent as a retreat, this newly renovated room is enriched with a bright, buttery palette and bespoke furnishings. Fully automated and more intuitive than ever, the Panoramic View Deluxe is offered as a king or a double room.

There is no need to choose your view when your room is situated on a corner, where the bright lights of The Strip meet the natural beauty of our 18-hole golf course. The freshly redecorated Panoramic Corner View Deluxe rooms also reside at the intersection of timeless design and classic comfort. Light-infused, uplifting decor is complimented by a refurbished repertoire of casually elegant furniture and fabrics and an updated array of advanced technologies that allow lighting, draperies and room service messaging to be controlled with the touch of a finger, from the bedside.

Meet and Be Green Program Encourages Guests to Make Green Choices

(SAN DIEGO) July X, 2010 - The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina today announced the launch of Meet and Be Green, a new program that encourages guests and planners to make green choices for their meetings. In order to Meet and Be Green at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, planners and meeting attendees will pledge to take these ten steps to "go green" during their meeting:

* Recycle during the meeting
* Use products with 100 percent recycled content
* Print materials locally
* Minimize shipping
* Rather than setting materials at every seat, place meeting materials, such as handouts, notepads, pens, etc., in a central location so attendees can take as needed
* Maintain room temperatures at an appropriate level
* Eliminate disposable water bottles
* Minimize use of other disposable products such as plates, cups, napkins and utensils
* Select locally grown seasonal foods when planning the menu
* Plan ahead for the meeting to make it easier and more economical to keep the meeting green

"The Meet and be Green program at the Hyatt allows us to do our part to protect the environment while encouraging our guests to make green choices," said Alex Willow, director of sales at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. "By making small changes such as eliminating disposable bottles to incorporating recycled materials, we are greatly reducing the amount of waste created during meetings."

Dedicated meeting planners will help source products with 100 percent recycled content, find local suppliers, and maximize efforts to reduce waste to create a meeting experience that exceeds expectations and helps the environment at the same time. To discuss Meet and Be Green options, meeting planners should contact the Hyatt's sales team at 619-224-1234.

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay has also introduced new seasonal banquet menus. These menu selections are updated quarterly and provide food and beverage enhancements for meetings and events that feature items from local and regional farmers, fisherman and cheese makers.

In addition to the new meetings offerings, The Hyatt recently completed renovations to the Mission Ballroom, which includes fine handcrafted woodwork and the latest high-tech audio/visual equipment. The 3,600 square foot space now features contemporary ceiling lighting with wave glass, wall coverings, paint, moldings, carpet, stylish black-out drapes, as well as new air wall covers and furnishings and can be arranged banquet-style for 260 guests.

These recent enhancements follow a number of renovations completed last year to total 30,000 square feet including the Bayview Ballroom, the Regatta Pavilion and the exclusive Penthouse, which sits on top of the Hyatt's tower on the 18th floor.

For new meetings booked by December 30, 2010, and held by March 31, 2011, groups participating in the Meet and Be Green program at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay will be eligible for a three percent rebate on qualifying charges on the master bill.

Meet and Be Green is one part of Hyatt Regency Mission Bay's larger pledge to conserve energy, minimize waste and create responsible, sustainable corporate practices to care for the earth and guests. By empowering guests to do the same, Hyatt and its planners can help minimize the environmental impact of meetings. Full details of the program and promotion are available at www.missionbay.hyatt.com. Meet and Be Green is one of the latest additions to Great Happens, Hyatt's ongoing campaign to emphasize the power and importance of in-person meetings.

SKINCARE CONCIERGES FIGHT OFF HARMFUL EXPOSURE BY PROVIDING SAFE SUN SOLUTIONS

(SAN DIEGO) July 1, 2010 - To help guests get SPF savvy, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina has debuted new skincare concierges this summer to prevent needless burns and harmful overexposure while guests lay poolside at the waterfront resort.

Armed with sunblock, the skincare concierges lather complimentary SPF 15 or 30 sunscreen applications to filter out up to 97 percent of damaging UVB rays that can cause painful burning. While the free service is relaxing and enjoyable, the concierges are also helping to battle a more serious concern: skin cancer, the most common - yet preventable - form of cancer in the United States, affecting over 3.5 million people annually.

"When you're on vacation, it's easy to forget your sunscreen because you're out of your daily routine," said Kyra Johnson, spa director of Blue Marble Spa at the hotel. "We want to remind our guests that sunburns are 100 percent preventable and something as simple as frequent SPF application can make the difference between getting cancer and not. The new service allows our guests to be freely active outdoors and enjoy all that our hotel and San Diego have to offer without the discomfort of a sunburn and compromising overall health."

The smart skincare strategy allows guests to get a nice, healthy summer glow safely while enjoying the hotel pool deck, three sparkling pools, private cabanas and relaxing lounge. And for those who skimp on the SPF, the skincare concierges can rub guests with after-sun applications such as soothing Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.

The resort's award-winning eco-spa, Blue Marble, also offers poolside massages using only natural and organic ingredients. In addition to the poolside massage, the spa offers a full range of treatments including facials, body scrubs, waxing, manicure and pedicures just a stone's throw from the pool area.

Named one of the "Top 10 Green Spas and Resorts" in the world by Organic Spa magazine, Blue Marble Spa features all natural and organic products derived from the environment. Special care is taken to ensure that all of Blue Marble's operations incorporate energy efficient and environmentally conscious initiatives, including the use of low-flow shower heads, energy efficient light bulbs and sustainable bamboo floors. For information or reservations at Blue Marble Spa, call 619-758-4900 or book online directly at www.bluemarblespa.com.

FOUR-LEGGED GUESTS TO GET TOP DOG TREATMENT AT HYATT REGENCY MISSION BAY

Posted 1 Week Ago at 01:45 PM by Elite News Team
New "Pawsport" program gives traveling pooches in-room perks and bonus point prizes

(SAN DIEGO) August X, 2010 - Now that the dog days of summer have arrived, four-legged guests vacationing with their families in San Diego will be getting the top dog treatment at the pet-friendly Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina.

Often cited as best of show when it comes to catering to their human companions, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay is now letting "sleeping dogs luxuriate" at its two-acre waterfront retreat.

And with its new Gold Pawsport Program, these pampered pets will be upgraded to first-class status at this world-class resort property just minutes from downtown, beaches and popular tourist attractions.

"Stainless steel bowls, plush dog beds and a haute-dog menu ensure your pooch will be lavishly spoiled while away from home," said leader of the hotel pack, General Manager Moshen Khaleghi.

Now, with the unleashing of its new Pawsport Program, dogs from all over the world are sitting at the hotel's front door anxious to fetch an endless supply of treats, toys and room upgrades.

At check-in, furry friends will receive their own Pet Pawsport with vital information about program offerings and stamp boxes to the track number of hotel visits that quickly add up to posh pet prizes.

Similar to the Hyatt Gold Passport program for their two-legged guests, the Pet Pawsport rewards your critters frequent stays with added amenities and amazing awards, including cool gift certificates and personalized identification carrier tag. "The more times your dog stays here, the bigger and better the prize," noted Khaleghi.

Even first-time guests can enjoy the in-room doggie menu with its mouth-watering and tail-wagging entrees. For $5 each, order up all-nature human-edible items such as Breath Bustin Biscuits, Woofie Cookies, Snicker-Poodles and Mission Bay Liver.

The hotel's lushly landscaped grounds and prime location on scenic Mission Bay offers tons of shady and sunny places for dogs to romp and roam. There are plenty of parks and "barking lots" with disposal bays and trash bins as well as fresh watering holes.

San Diego also has a handful of leash-free beaches and many nearby parks, shops, galleries and outdoor cafes welcome canine customers with water dishes and doggy biscuits.

Pet-friendly room rates at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay start at $189 per night with a daily $30-50 service fee for guests traveling with their dog. Pets up to 50 pounds are allowed, multiple dogs cannot exceed 75 pounds in total. Guests must sign a waiver at check-in before their dog is ushered into creature comfort-filled rooms and attractively appointed public areas.

For more information about the hotel's pet policy and Pawsport Program, visit www.missionbay.hyatt.com or call 619-224-1234.

With the dramatic renovation, the hotel's guest rooms which are the largest in the Buckhead area will be transformed into chic and modern accommodations, appealing to convention, leisure and business travelers alike.
