The Cal Neva Lodge & Casino began in 1926 as the retreat of a wealthy businessman, then quickly became a playground for celebrities seeking to escape the public eye in Nevada. Owners with names like “Pretty Boy,” “Bones,” and “Baby Face” compounded the legend during the ’40s and ’50s, followed by Frank Sinatra in the ’60s.
Sinatra invited Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe, and others to “sing for their supper” in his Celebrity Showroom and Indian Room—where today’s meetings and banquets make history of their own.
The original sites mix and match with five more meeting rooms to accommodate groups of 5 to 500. Views of the lake highlight all 220 guest rooms and cabins, while nearby water sports and ski resorts round out the pleasures of a luxury spa, casino, and fine dining on-site.
